I wasn't sure whether this was appropriate here or on the Bat-World Forum, but figured it would garner more attention/discussion here. Mods feel free to move the thread if necessary.

As a LEGO enthusiast, I shall have to build my own now for my apartment (going to have to wait until after I finish my LEGO Tumblers and Bat)

Someone has more time on their hands than I do, lol, or at least know how to put what they have to good use. That is pretty cool. :D

I love the fact that he uses slope and roofing pieces to cover up all the pegs and create a more realistic rock-like texture. That's dedication.

I tried to do this with Mega Bloks once, but instead of the Batcave I ended up with the Justice League Detroit Bunker. :(

I was going to say girlfriends/wives were going untouched...but then I looked at the guys. :o

BUT, a geek nitpick is that they didn't put any of Batman's trophies in there. No Giant Penny, T-Rex, etc.

This is definitely deserving of it's own thread.

It's funny that this is better than the officially released Lego Batcave.

You can't really compare the two. LEGO has to work within a budget, limited to certain number of parts and how much the set can cost. These dudes were free to do whatever they could build.

If I had that in my house, I would rush home after class so I can play all day. I'd get Joker, Robin, Catwoman, Batgirl, Mr. Freeze, Bane, Two-Face, etc. It'd be glorious.

That's true. They also have to cater to what kids want as well and their patience levels :p

I would so play with that star destroyer that they have on display in one of those pictures.

I wonder about the skeleton in the rocky area of the cave. Is there an actual piece of lore regarding it, or is it just something they put in as a goof?

There's been some other tries at the Batcave in LEGO. This one below I actually like better; more compact but still has the great details. Better Batmobile to boot.

As you can see in his gallery, this guy also took a go at the 60's TV show Batcave:

Not a full fledged Batcave here from a different builder, but a nice take on the Batwing:

I'm impressed and scared at the same time. It took a lot of time and effort to build that. Too much time and effort.
