Spider-man is pure spectacle. How do you step it up to to the next level? How do you distace yourself from the previous franchise? With 3D of course. Imagine web slinging and superhuman acrobatic dazzle in 3D! Imagine Spidey's titanic clashes with his foes in glorious 3D!

So, should Spider-man (2012) be in 3D or not?

I think Avatar has shown us that 3D can be used in a tasteful manner. Id love to see it in 3D

I can't see 3D stuff, so I guess that plays a factor in my judgment.

I think it should just to be the first superhero movie in 3D cause that'll make it stand out more, but personally I don't care about 3D and don't get how its a big deal at all... Same thing with when people say you have to see it in IMAX. It's a hype thing and it works.

If Sony wanted Spider-Man 4 in 3D (and the rumor is that they did), then I'm sure they'll want the reboot in 3D. Avatar was great in 3D and it can be used without making it seem like a gimmick.

I'm not saying I want to see Spider-Man in 3D (although if done right, it would be kinda cool), but for those saying they don't, you can just watch the 2D version. I don't see why would anyone complain when there would also be a 2D version.

If they use it in the same way it was used in avatar, then I'm all for it.

Those that didn't like it, were you at the very top for the IMAX3D of Avatar? My first viewing was in the middle section and the 3d blew my mind, it was beautiful. But my next viewing, i saw it at the very top and the difference was drastic, the 3d didn't stand out nearly as much as sitting closer to the screen.

Avatar was the only movie that really used it in the flow of the movie and not as a gimick with things flying at you. It was amazing in my and all my friends opinions. Unfortunately, im sure many movies will go 3d still using it as it had been b4 Avatar, which was a gimick.

Can you imagine Spidey at top of a building looking down in 3d? Awesome. Either way, i think every blockbuster will be in 3D by 2012.

So don't go to the 3D viewing. I don't understand butting into other people's enjoyment? You don't have to go.

Exactly. I don't see the problem. It's not like they're only going to release a 3D version only.

Avatar was such a boring film, and I disliked the 3D. Adding 3D will add more time to the production schedule, I want my film.

Eh, Avatar is the only movie I've seen in 3-D, and while I do think it's cool, I wouldn't want to see it with Spider-Man.

But with the way things are going, it'll be 3-D.
