Has anyone noticed that Hollywood comes out with similar movies in pairs of 2's? Or least it seems this way.

Saw/Hostel
Deep Impact/Armageddon
The Arrival/ID4

I know theres more to it and its just the way it goes I guess. I just thinking bout this the otherday while renting movies. Just seems similar movies come out within a year of eachother. I know thats 'hollywood' thing,and thats how they role with it I guess.

Its called originality. Hollywood is full of it. It seems like Hollywood keeps churning out original idea after original idea.

Capote/Infamous

I was floored! Two Capote movies, less than a year apart, both focusing on the same events and both with strong casts.

I remeber when both were in development just thinking, "One of these will fall through, simply due to the fact that the other exists." It never happened.
