In what issue does Venom state the reason why the symbiote didn't give Spider-man any physical enhancements?

Damn, really can't remember.

uh...it did make him stronger...didnt it?

There was a debate going on about this a year or two ago on this board...a ton of users were coming out saying it didn't make him stronger and finally someone posted the issue number where Venom actually stated the reason why the suit didn't make Parker stronger.

I can't remember the number though.

Yeah, it only made him stronger/faster and all that jazz in the cartoon and Ultimate. Sorry I can't actually help though.

In ASM #332, 3rd page in, Venom states that his alien comrade "didnt boost Spider-Man's strength when you were with HIM, because his abilities were already augmented by some sort of genetic mutation"...

Whats the other half?

aaaaand despite being said you just KNOW that rule wouldnt be adhered to, these days. Any genetically enhanced being would be enhanced further by the symbiote. but i guess its cause it took ages to get venom and that costume stuff right. i mean, for gods sake, TECHNICALLY venom needs to eat brains to stop from going mad, or something like that. brains -- or chocolate. i forget which... now if you can find the issue THAT was said in i'll do more than kiss you! or not. whichever gets it fond quicker.

The animated show did a terrific job with Venom.

Its the storyline I prefer to the others and judging by the trailer for Spidey 3, I'm not alone.

spider-man 3 has messed up the costume's look though. its not about being a black costume -- it needs the white large spider in the middle! etc etc

It was at the end of one of the Venom mini-series. Venom actually started eating brains, but found out that he simply needed a chemical which was also contained in chocolate. I guess that means he's been fighting with Peggy Bundy over the last bucket of Bon-bons at Wal-Mart for the last 10 years.

Red X: "I never knew this."

CaptainStacy: "Now you know. And knowing is half the battle."

Red X: "What's the other half?"

CaptainStacy: ".... i really couldn't say."

BEST EXCHANGE I'VE EVER SEEN ON THESE BOARDS! LOL!
