yah, no UHD 4K in our local walmart too. smh
I just went on and got the standard Best Buy version.
Likely will be picking my BR up tomorrow at Best Buy.
Got my copy today!
There is a rumor doing the rounds that there will be IMAX version during the holidays.
If there is, that is a day one buy for me despite already buying the Itunes digital version and the 3D version.
Theyre overcompensating now! t:
Have they improved some of the special effects for the blu-ray? I dont know how these things work but I remember having issues with some of the CG in the theatrical version but so far on my home TV it all looks pretty great for the most part.
Sorry just wanted to ask one more time
If anyone is not using their digital code would they be kind enough to PM me the code?
Thanos looks even better. I noticed little hairs on his arms that I didnt see before.
Stark and Parker still look like floating heads in their CGI costumes.
I highly doubt they've done any more work. The only time I could see that happening is if they didn't have time to finish a film in time, but Infinity War kept schedule and looked great in theaters.
Any differences will most likely have to do with other differences, most likely the technical setups.
Got my copy. Will be watching it tonight.
And here I am, could care less about 4K and still missing my DVD combo packs.....
I really dislike how inconsistent Marvel has gotten with their releases in Phase 3, especially with how the digital copies are bundled. On CW's initial home release, the digital copy was in a 3D/BR combo pack. Starting with Doctor Strange and going until Thor: Ragnarok, the digital copy was in a BR/DVD combo pack as they stopped selling 3D versions completely. With BP and now IW, the digital versions are paired with only a standalone BR.
I want to reiterate how much of a disgrace it is that there is nope IMAX on any version of Infinity War. I was Guardians 2 in 3D and Thor Ragnorock 3D and the IMAX pops. Black Panther also has great IMAX scenes and your biggest movie and biggest hit that was promoted as shot entirely in IMAX won't has a SINGLE SCENE in IMAX is absolutely shocking. Why not? Money? The movie made 2 billion. Disk space? Why not select some pivotal scenes and have them in IMAX.
Basically Disney thinks (correctly) they can half arse the release and people will still buy it it. It so annoying that I don't get to experience the movie in the ratio I saw the movie in theatres. You're missing 20% of information (or more) missing from every frame.
But people will still buy it, though. I mean, is there even a precedent across any studios for releasing IMAX theatrical versions of films on home video? It's not something that I've personally seen happen consistently, if at all.
Though I'd agree with Webfoot about the inconsistency with the MCU films and digital copies. A Blu-Ray versions is still good, sure, but one of the things that I hated about Winter Soldier is that, like Civil War, you could only get a Digital Code if you purchased the 3D/Blu-Ray combo, not a Blu-Ray standalone. But now, particularly in light of them double dipping and re-releasing these films with new covers and all, they do what most studios do and release them with Blu-Ray/Digital.
And standard DVD right now just seems to be the film and nothing else.
After watching the movie on home video (iTunes) it confirmed what I thought in theatres, IW is my second favorite superhero movie of all time. Second only to The Dark Knight.
To be honest, I don't think any superhero will ever top TDK, that movie is a masterpiece.
Finally will be able to own this on Blu-Ray tomorrow (UK Hypester)!
It has been a long and tough wait since the end of April...
