I cannot believe I just found this. No graphics but you don't need them. It's all in your mind. Type what you want to do and it does it.

You never played an Infocom game???

It's like this. An opening paragraph starts the story you read it and then there's a cursor underneath to type in commands like (go left, look up, search room, open door, shoot dragon, shut off, pick up, insert, etc...) When you go from room to room a new description pops up and whenever you do something...it tells you what the reaction is. It's like an interactive books. It's really awesome.

Anyone play Rerturn to Zork? I loved that game. I still have it but Im not sure if it will run on my PC. I doubt it

Takes getting used to. Sorcerror is an easier one. Zork and Zork 2 are among the best. Stationfall is fun. Once you get going it's like a virtual first person RPG in your mind.

Remember the games are completely interactive. You can search things, pick them up, turn them on, move objects, talk, hit, climb tree, eat, drink, go down, go up, etc...If you want a repeat of the rom description type in verbose or brief, or just "look around". In hitchikers try it out. It's fun just figuring it out. I remember in Zork you want to save the garlic, there's an egg in the tree. You gotta go into that house too. Once you get used to it you can form a map in your mind or just download a map...or even make it yourself as you go along.
