I love how the marketing isn't spoiling a bunch of stuff. I feel like they realized they don't have to do much to actually sell this game because its easily one of the most anticipated games of the year.

I wish the map is twice bigger if not 3 times bigger. But this isn't GTA. Insomniac created a beautiful NY which imo, a lot of it weren't really utilized in the previous games, because Spider-Man mostly swings and it was easy not to look at the surroundings. Can't wait for the game.

I think the villains in Arkham just have a stronger presence individually. And they're more evenly spread out. In Spider-Man the Sinister Six comes quite late in the game, and asside from Li and Otto, the rest are basically snarky thugs in high tech suits. Functioning as a gang, further reducing their individuality

The villain line-up in SM2 seems more individualistic, and wilder to boot. Also I'm sure that the marketed 3 aren't the only big bads

I hope the villains are more spread out in this. State of Play said there are more bosses to be revealed.

So far, we have Kraven, Venom, Lizard and Mysterio? I hope Sandman is in this too because like Lizard and Mysterio, they used him as an Easter Egg in the first game. Though not sure which major villain they could save for Spider-Man 3? I guess Green Goblin and Spot.

I forgot to mention Morbius. Surely Sony would want him in a Spider-Man Insomniac videogame even if his solo movie flopped.

Madame Web as well but not as a villainess but more like similar to the role of Black Cat and Silver Sabre. I wouldn't be surprised if there are 3 story DLCs again which we don't really see much often in Sony games since the first Spider-Man Insomniac game. Usually its just 1 story eXpansion with Horizon and Ghost of Tsushima but not 3.

I think Wraith will also appear as a boss but its not confirmed yet.

Goblin was hinted at in the first game but I'm not expecting him to show up until the next game. I predicted Sandman would show up in this literally right before the trailer dropped yesterday and Mysterio was revealed to be in it so because of that I think they might save Sandman until the next game. Carnage is another big one I can see showing up in the next game too.

I wish. There's such a fierce competition for GOTY these days that I don't know how much of a chance it stands against Baldur's Gate 3.

I’d be very shocked if this game got it. BG3 and TotK are the only ones I think have a realistic chance, despite a whole bunch of good games out this year. This will be a fan favourite though.

Kraven and Venom are THE 2 I wanted them to go to town on so I’m super happy how this is looking. If we get Carnage next game I will be that much happier. Do a Maximum Carnage storyline with this game engine to fulfil a childhood fantasy.

Well GOTY for me probably. Those other games I don’t play or have much interest in. This has just been my most anticipated upcoming game right up there with FFVIII Rebirth.

I think it will be the no.1 of the year for many gamers. Not everyone is as into RPGs (I am though lol) which seem to hold an edge for awards.

2018 was an insane year with God of War, Spider-Man and Red Dead Redemption 2 alone. All worthy of GOTY but there could be only one.

I like that they're continuing the trend of giving the Symbiote this rage mode. A fun little nuance in the Spider-Man 3 game and Shattered Dimensions. Also cool that the suit has an angrier design when activating it, as it shifts looks closer to the Venom suit.

State of Play clearly stated it is almost Twice bigger not eXactly Twice bigger. The section we got in SM2018/SMMM is still bigger than the new section (Queens/BronX). And that is noticeable in the video.

The map being "almost twice as big" is a loose term considering they're factoring in the East River as part of it.

Apart from the bridges and what appears to be Randall's Island up top, that whole middle chunk of the river is probably mostly inaccessible apart from things like boats and things to hop across. I'm more than okay with what we're getting. A Spider-Man game doesn't need to have a GTA V-sized map. Would it have been nice to get the Bronx to flesh out the northern section of the map a bit? Sure, but it's not necessary since it's not really associated with Peter or Miles the way Queens and Brooklyn are.
