Playstation Insomniac's Spider-Man 2

Is it? Split across Peter, Miles, and Symbiote, its not too bad.

You can never have enough suits.

Originally pre ordered from Amazon, but ultimately decided to buy the digital version so I can play right away. Can't wait!
Thought about getting it on disc from amazon as well, but figured I'm just going to wind up with it on the SSD anyway, so I just bought PS giftcards from costco for the discount and am going to get to play it ASAP.

So is the capitalization of X in all your posts, but I don't see anyone else complaining.
What has got to do with this thread? I've been typing like that for years in this forum, and its been established that its my signature style for my posts, hence no one is complaining...

Are you really gonna attack me when I say something about I don't like about the media content we discuss here in this forum?

Such a weird thing to complain about?
I am pretty sure I complained about that as well in my review for the first game. The first game took me less than 2 weeks to finish and I tried every suit that were available to me, and in my eXperience, there were more suits than things to do in the game. If I remember correctly, I changed my suit every story mission, and when I finished 3 side location objectives. To the point, I no longer remember when I used certain costumes because there were so many.

This game is as long as the first game (based from what they told us). Unless I run the game for a 2nd time or 3rd from scratch, then I don't think I will keep up with every suit.

Free suits are great, but I'd like to use them all one by one as well during the main/side activities, especially when I see them all on the menu. 65 suits are a bit much for a game that is as long as the first game.

Not everyone will like every suit. You're not necessarily supposed to use every single one of them.

Yeah you're not obligated to use every single suit. I mean your complaint is valid, but is it really a problem? It seems more like a personal thing. I don't think we'll see this game face major critique for having too many suits.

I’d be very shocked if this game got it. BG3 and TotK are the only ones I think have a realistic chance, despite a whole bunch of good games out this year. This will be a fan favourite though.
What about Starfield?

I don’t think it’s done enough with a broad enough base of critics to actually win. I’m sure Spidey 2 and Starfield are/will be amazing games, but I still think BG3 is going to be the only possible competition for TotK to take the win.

I've never seen any game of this sort criticized for having too many cosmetics. It's something that can easily be ignored if it's not your thing.
Wouldn’t it be a good thing for many? If you say only want to use 10 suits you can pick your best 10 out of a larger number. If creating so many meant less quality or made it harder to find the good ones, that I guess could be a thing but that’s more likely if it got into the hundreds.

Even with the amount of suits we got in the first game, I only ever stuck to the ones that were relevant to the story like the classic and advanced suits and a few of the movie suits.

I've never been a cosmetics gamer, especially for multiplayer FPS games. With a super-long third person RPG I guess I could be tempted (to earn not to buy). Also I would be tempted to pay for a specific character (for role play reasons) in multiplayer as a one off, but again would prefer to earn that or have it as a default choice.

It depends on the game for me. Most of the time I'm happy with the basic story-relevant suits, as in Spider-Man. But then there's the rare game like Square's Avengers where I disliked most of the basic outfits for the characters and just had them in their MCU costumes instead because they looked way better.

I might try that as I think all of the cosmetics have been made free for that game now.

Yeah, they don't necessarily make the game better but since they're free you might as well.
Form what I’ve been told/read, anything that helps bear with the endgame lol.

Its there in the menu and I always see it, and costumes are hard to ignore especially when i try to make the most out of the games, so I would have no other choice but to use them all especially if they are all free. Some of the suits have special feature/effect iirc, some of the suits are unlocked when you finish certain activities, so yes I will have to use those.

Maybe I'm just a bit OCD when it comes with so many things being served infront of me. But sometimes less is more. A lot of the costumes would feel less special when you have 50 other options. And since this has 2 playable characters, it would probably be harder for me to remember every single costume for a game that can be completed in 30 hours (side activities included).

In other games, I don't even get to use the costumes because they were only unlocked once I was done with the game.

It is a personal thing/personal opinion, as I don't speak for the rest.

Clips are starting to float around from the game, so stay safe out there folks!
