Playstation Insomniac's Spider-Man 2

What would make sense to me is a spinoff game that's separate from the main storyline that features Insomniac Peter and Miles exploring the Spider-Verse. It can all tie in to the Spider-Verse movies too. Only thing is, it should probably be more linear than open world to fully make the most of exploring different dimensions. Maybe if they did it similar to EA's Star Wars Jedi series where you have multiple decent sized open world areas. We've already seen Peter in ATSV so they might as well keep going with that concept.

what confuses me about Insomniac Spider-Man's appearance in that movie is that in his first appearance, it is the exact render as the character looks on Ps5. this goes into a larger complaint I have about the movie itself, which is that the crossover characters all appear in their original art styles, including live action characters appearing as the actors on set. But at the end of the first movie in the post credit scene, instead of mixing art styles, Miguel matched the art style of the universe he was visiting.

to make matters even more confusing, the Insomniac Spider-Man appeared twice in the movie and in that second scene, he did match the art style of what was consistent with the movie itself:

on top of all this, Ganke Lee Miles' roommate was seeing playing this damn game on his Ps5. Although in their universe it is probably not the exact same game of course, but they are basically breaking the fourth wall by referring to this Spider-Mann as the Insomniac Spider-Man.

What has got to do with this thread? I've been typing like that for years in this forum, and its been established that its my signature style for my posts, hence no one is complaining...

Are you really gonna attack me when I say something about I don't like about the media content we discuss here in this forum?
I don't think he was attacking you, he was just referring your posting style as a point of comparison to the subject you were complaining about.

I've never really thought about the art style changes. There's so much happening in those movies, especially ATSV, that I just have to sit back and enjoy the ride.

trust me I was enjoying the fxck out of that ride. The Spider-Verse movies are the best Spider-Man movies ever. But it's not without its issues.

not to make this thread too much about that, but sometimes I think the art styles were all mixed together just for the audience, but what the characters saw was everyone looking at each other and recognizing one another in the same art style. Except maybe Spider-Pig.

You mean Spider-Ham? Spider-Pig is a Simpsons joke.

looks sick! you know, when I saw the first gameplay video revealing the symbiote suit, I was under the impression that since this is a Peter Parker in his 20s, that this is his second time bonding with the symbiote and he in his experience as Spider-Man has already done it before.

Btw, anyone else going to be quoting Candyman when Venom finally shows up? I know I will.

For anyone who replayed Spider-Man Remastered did it seem like the mission Hidden Agendas was cut because when the remaster first came out I played that mission but then when I replayed it it was missing but didn’t disrupt the flow of the main campaign. So I’m just wondering if anybody had the same problem. @Drizzle Did you encounter the same thing as I did during your replay?

Simply beautiful. I gotta say, I love that Peter is taking up teaching (something I wish more spider-man media wasn't so afraid of in other mediums these days) and also that they got Peter wearing dark clothing while infected with the symbiote!

The Martin Li FEAST office mission? It was there when I played it earlier this year on PC.

It was there when I replayed the PS5 version the other month. Maybe yours glitched out or something and caused the game to skip over the mission?

Damn that’s odd but yeah probably a glitch. That mission is one of my favorites because of the Peter doing Spider-Man stuff outside the costume so I was pretty bummed I didn’t get to play it but I’m going to replay the game again after Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. So thanks for the replay.

If I had a penny for every female character voiced by Laura Bailey who's hated to a genuinely unnecessary degree

I'd have two pennies

Not a lot but weird that it's happened twice

I'm familiar with the hatred for the MJ levels in the first game but not for the character herself. Unless this is something specific to the second game?

Basically a lot of hate spewing over her new design and characterisation recently, mostly on
