So happy this game is doing gangbusters. This thing is fantastic so far. The storytelling, the gameplay, the cinematics and voice acting are all aces.

this has got to be hands down my favorite interpretation of Spider-man. And thats saying a LOT.

Easily my favorite since the Raimi trilogy. I even told Yuri Lowenthal last year that I'm a picky Spider-Man fan haha, and that they made me invested in the character in a way I haven't really felt since the OG trilogy.

Same thing happened to me on Friday morning even though I was purposely avoiding clicking on anything Spider-Man 2 related for the past few months save for the gameplay showcases back in June and September. Sure enough, I saw a pretty spoilerific thumbnail. Even though it wasn't one of the end cutscenes and instead was one that you unlock for completing one of the side quests, I was still annoyed. Needless to say I avoided YouTube after that from the time I started playing until I finished the story yesterday. I really hate the algorithm.

I'm pretty much the same. After the Raimi trilogy was done, Spidey fell on the backburner for me behind Batman and the Avengers after being underwhelmed by the TASM movies. His introduction to the MCU piqued my interest again but it was the first Insomniac game that really made me fall in love with the character again.

Omg DUDE. Yesterday, I was on youtube and a "related videos" feed shows a video with the title that said "PETER PARKER ______ AT THE END OF SPIDER MAN 2" and I was SO MAD! Just just blatantly spoiling the end of the game in the title of the video. I hate the internet.

This is why I made plans to have a weekend to play this before spoilers could ruin it for me, and I was so invested in the game that I didn't even have time to go online much at all.

My wife is awesome for handling the kids so I actually had some time to dedicate to this game lol

Its ironic and crazy that the best flying Ive ever seen in a comic video game has been Spider-Man 2. None comes close. Flying is at best passable but it tends to feel chunky and non-intuitive. It really feels fluid and well done and synergizes with his other abilities quite well. Hats off to Insomniac. Im interested in seeing how EA is able to handle Iron-man but I doubt the mechanics will feel as good as they do here

I love the web wings but I'm still getting used to them even after completing the story. I'm so used to the swinging from the first two games that a lot of the time I find myself forgetting that the web wings are an option.

Normally I'm the same but since Spider-Man 2 has a relatively shorter story mode compared to most modern games as well as it just being so much fun to play made it an easy binge for me to avoid spoilers. Every once in a while a game comes around where I'll feel the need to rush through it to avoid spoilers but I'll always take my time playing it again on a replay.

I wish Sony wasn't so greedy with the movie and video game rights for Spider-Man, Insomniac Games could make more sales with their games on Xbox as well

This is a really common misconception but Sony does not own the Spider-Man video game rights, Marvel does. They are completely seperate from the film rights and Sony Interactive and Sony Pictures are 2 different divisions. Sony Interactive reached out to Marvel Games to make a video game exclusive to Playstation and it could have been based on any Marvel property. Marvel Games could have easily declined but they didn't and thus a deal was made. And it was Insomniac that had the choice to pick which IP and they ended up choosing Spider-Man. We could have just as easily gotten a PS exclusive Iron Man game had Insomniac decided differently.

If I am enjoying a game, I can play it all day lol! Heck with this game, hours went by and I was like "wait, when did I eat? Did I eat today?"

When I last checked I've logged 21 hours of playtime since I started on Friday, according to my PSN profile. Those hours flew by because it hasn't felt like I've been playing that long at all, even after completing the story and more than half of the side stuff.

Greedy? Thats an awful thing to say and thats not how this works. If it werent for Sony, this game wouldnt exist. Another Spider-Man game would have happened and on other platforms but it wouldnt be this series that Insomniac created

It'd be awesome if they were to add that to the game when the New Game+ update drops. Apart from just wanting to replay certain story missions, I'm pretty sure all of the FNSM app side missions can be done as either Peter or Miles. It'd be nice to have the ability to go back and complete them again as the other character.

Finished this over the weekend. Another great entry in this franchise. Hopefully there's DLC planned. If not then I'll be waiting for the next sequel or spin off lol. Outside of wolverine of course.

My only complaint with this game is the story. The third act falls off completely for me. I pretty much have the same issues with the story and Venom as Michael Frost noted on the previous page.

Man, I remember the outrage when Bayonetta 2 became a Nintendo exclusive. So many would have rather the property die than become Nintendo exclusive.

I LOOVED the way they introduced Cletus in this game. Having him be part of a cult made him even scarier, imo. i also hope we get chameleon in the dlc too

I'm just so excited to see the Goblin storyline be featured and of course the return of Doc Ock. I don't know about anybody else but I definitely think Peter is gonna end up dying in the 3rd game.
