Geez, being married is bad for Spidey, but two-timing his wife while she's in a coma, why that guaranteed to make Spidey relatable to kids again. And if this scenario turns out that way and he ends up with the Black Cat to find "comfort," then expect images of Joe Q to be burned in effigy.

However, it could be entirely possible that the person in the Ambulance is Aunt May. After all, there have been people who've complained that ever since she found out Peter was Spider-Man that she really hasn't contributed much (unless you count being one half of the May and Jarvis Vigara poster couple) and that she should've stayed dead after ASM #400. My guess is they'll go with Aunt May dying over MJs death.

i don't think MJ will die....i think it should be Aunt May....I really enjoyed ASM #400 when Aunt May passed, it was really well written...and then to undo it saying it was a clone by Osborn....blah!!!

Yep... ironic that the stories in the daily comics rely heavily on the marriage. Right now Peter is in LA while MJ is shooting a movie and Doc Ock has observed, through recent events, that Spidey has a "thing" for MJ... Great fun.

But as for the mystery patient... I hope it's just a critical and not fatal injury. I can't think of ANYONE in Peter's tiny circle of VIPs, who I would want to see dead. That INCLUDES Aunt May. I would HATE it if she died.

I really don't get the "Aunt May should die" comments... just because they killed her off in a sappy story that was designed to help get rid of Peter as Spider-Man (just another one of many BAD moves that was part of the whole convoluted Clone Saga). IMO it was rightly undone... granted in a really lame way... but I wouldn't have missed all the great Aunt May moments that have happend since...

I agree that killing May is pointless. Peter has no supporting cast as it is. I think a big part of the problem with MJ is that at this point, she and May have to carry the full weight of being Spidey's only supporting players. If there were more characters to focus on, things might not be so dry with MJ. So killing those who are there won't help Spidey.

Hmmmm I don't know. I actually thought the ASM 400 was beautifully written and Marvel did JM DeMatteis a huge injustice by basically ignoring it. Granted JMS does write one helluva Aunt May (and MJ for that matter) but still.....that issue was very well done in my opinion.

Back on topic though....I'm not going to freak out over this whole "ambulance" thing though. If it was a few months ago maybe I would but not now. I'm actually enjoying the Spider titles at the moment. ASM is starting to get back on track in a big way, SSM has been great and I've always been hooked on USM.

I'll wait and see what's up with this whole "spoiler" before I get freaked out.
