Does anyone know of a good (and free) tool to record sound effects/songs/music etc that are running of a game, or streamed media?

Seems to be doing the trick, albeit rather crackley, though that's bound to be something to do with the preferences...

Crackly? I never get that problem with it, you are doing it from the stereo mix right? If you do it from the mic it will be taping from your speakers (or what ever is near the mic) and will get interference
