I know there are alot of IE haters here, but has anyone else try out IE8 yet?

not yet....thinking of downloading to one of my other pcs...and seeing...I use firefox and love it....but IE needs to be looked at at least

Tis' a shame that IE still considers "updated to comply with web standards" a feature. I don't understand why it has taken them so long to comply with W3 standards, and yet they are still lagging behind. I hate hate hate trying to do coding for any website because every time it looks good in other browsers, I open it in IE only to find that my webpage is rendered incorrectly, and so it needs to be ghetto rigged to display properly in IE.

Sorry to rant, but IE is a passionate subject for me lol.

Ok, IE8 is an improvement over IE7. However it often freezes upon start.

I will ask a question here to save having to make a new thread.. I recently downloaded Internet Explorer 8 but it doesn't show up in my Programs add/remove programs section on my computer in case I needed to uninstall it. I downloaded it through Yahoo instead of Microsoft in case that has anything to do with why I can't find it.

Why exactly do you need to uninstall it? Just install your normal web browser (opera, firefox, safari, chrome) and use that instead. IE 8 won't hurt you.

IE8 is surprisingly not too shabby. However, it will never be able to compete with Firefox. I feel sorry for the poor souls that only use IE because it is the standard and because they know not of Mozilla Firefox.

i actually prefer Opera to Firefox and IE

I have and use IE8. I don't really care about Firefox, but it is admittedly good.

I was once a Firefox man. I even dabbled in Opera and Google Chrome. After using IE8, I've stuck with it. It loads most pages faster than FF and I like the clean interface. There is only one downside. It takes a few seconds to start up and will lock up for a second or two when a new tab is made.

Other than that, I'm happy. I don't need adblock anymore as I have my Host files modified. Though there are a few sites I'll revert to FF (4chan.)

It does, about .3 to .7 seconds. Very annoying.

Well this ad-blocker is garbage compared to IE7 pro.Itstill using the IE 7 pro preferences and theyre just not workin like they use to since Ive installed 8. Pop up blocker and the Flash blocker still works but Im seeing way too many banner ads
