Internet Keeps Getting Disconnected

Everytime I try and watch a video on Hulu, Youtube, megavideo, etc. my internet connection goes out in 5 mins. I unplug and plug my wireless network router back in and continue watching only to have it to disconnect again a couple of minutes later.

What can I do to stop this?

Because it is incredibly frustrating

1) How far are ya from your router?
2) What model of Router is it?
3) How many people are connecting to it, wirelessly?
4) How old is it (The Router and Card your connecting with)?
5) Your OS?
6) Are you using a desktop or a notebook? (Silly I know, but legit question!)

This should help us a bit more!
