I'm hopeful that in Season 4 and S2 of Flash that we can be introduced to more heroes and villains from the comic books. Ideally it would be more similar to the Huntress type of intro (as in, not blatantly for a spin off).

I'm not sure about whether the trinity exists in the universe, but one idea I had for introducing them was to use alternate versions from the ones found in the DC Films. For example, instead of using Diana as WW, use Nubia.

Any time they introduce new heroes and villains, they have to be very careful not to upstage the main characters.

I too would like to see more heroes and villains, but I don't want Flash/Arrow to become the shows where it's all about dumping as many known characters into the universe as possible.

I would like to see some that make sense however.

For example, I would love to see Flash in a multi-verse / time spanning episode that would bring together Barry, Wally, Kid Flash and Jay Garrick, all in one spectacular episode of Flash goodness!

From the Arrow side, I'd like to see Hal Jordan (perhaps pre-GL), as well as The Question, Zatanna, Crimson Avenger, Cyborg, and Vigilante. More "street level" heroes who I think could be introduced in a convincing way, and on a TV budget.

Of course, I'd like to see Batman or Nightwing as well, however I really don't forsee that happening.

But the main universe building I would like to see is mentions of locations like Gotham and Metropolis, or maybe a visit there, with some easter eggs pointing to Batman and Superman.

And if they couldn't get Superman, what about a Clark Kent, reporter at the Daily Planet cameo? :)

Honestly, I'd rather the series focus on righting the ship than bringing in any new heroes. A few scattered guest appearances would be fine, but save most of that stuff for LOT or TF.

Who I would like to see on either show:
Flash: Black Lightning, Blue Beetle (Jamie more than Ted Kord who should've been Brandon Routh), Jesse Quick
Arrow: The Question, Batwoman, Black Bat, Nightwing (I know, not going to happen)

I'm okay with smaller level heroes showing up on Arrow who won't upstage him and fit the spirit of the show. Katana was a good fit. The Question might be okay. If the Trinity had to appear, though, I'd want it to be on Flash where I don't need to worry about them mucking things up.

I think Vigilante could be a fun 1-3 episode addition (along the lines of how they handled Huntress) and could be done pretty easily on a TV budget.

Hero in 50's Cowboy getup, on a vintage Harley, riding down badguys in a fun and kitschy way. And put alongside Green Arrow, allow the inevitable good natured joshing between the 2 about arrows vs. bullets.

As much as I would like to see more superheroes, especially heroines, introduced into the DC TV universe, at this stage, I would prefer for Arrow to concentrate on its existing cast of characters.

I think Oliver Queen's character needs further development. After "retiring", they need to provide approporiate development for Oliver once again becoming a vigilante (presumably as the "Green Arrow") not to mention having some kind of "day job". Similarly, Thea's decision to become Red Arrow/Speedy needs a lot more development following the tumultuous third season, especially her death and resurrection in the Lazarus Pit. And I'd like to see Roy Harper/Arsenal return for at least a few guest appearances.

It also sounds like Diggle will adopt a costumed identity and I think that also deserves its own development. Laurel Lance/Black Canary is pretty solid at the moment, but could still use a little more work, especially given the impracticalities of working long, highly stressful hours as a DA and then spending all night fighting crime.

I'd also love to see Katana return. The way that the character was written-off in the finale was terrible. I'd like to see Nyssa return as well, if possible without also bringing back Malcolm Merlyn.

And I'm not sure it would be possible, but if they could rehabilitate the Huntress to try and make the character closer to the comic book depiction, it would be pretty awesome to see.

So, they've already got a pretty big cast of heroes. And that's not including guest appearances from anyone on The Flash or Legends of Tomorrow.

My two favorite superheroes are Superman and Batman, but they really aren't necessary in this universe. We're going to be getting plenty of Batman and Superman over the next few years with upcoming solo movies and team up movies.

It would be cool to see the trinity in this universe, but they would definitely take some of the spotlight away from some of the less popular DC characters.

A DC tv universe is probably the only way we'll see characters like Hawkgirl, the Atom, Firestorm, Green Arrow, Arsenal, or Black Canary. The movies may get to those characters eventually, but the early focus of those movies should be to establish the main JL members.

The movie Justice League lineup seems to be
Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Green Lantern (Hal or John?), Aquaman, Cyborg, and Shazam

Considering the Hal Jordan easter eggs on Flash and Arrow, I'm guessing Hal could be joining the eventual CW Justice League . That means our CW Justice League lineup could be : GREEN Arrow, The Flash, Green Lantern, Hawkgirl, Firestorm, Black Canary, The Atom

That lineup may be made up of relatively unknown characters to the general public, but that lineup is made up of B+/A list characters in the eyes of most DC fans. Add Martian Manhunter, Static, Zatanna, Blue Beetle, Booster Gold, and Vixen to the list and it's a near perfect alternative to the movie Justice League.

Unfortunately Martian manhunter Zatanna Blue Beetle (replaced by the atom) will be allow to be used again either because DC wants it for movie or other unknown reasons

I may be alone in this thought, which is cool but I'd like to see a few different characters that I've always loved brought into the fold

1. Richard Dragon (no new 52 version)
2. animal man (probably better suited for flash)
3. swamp thing ( flash as well)
4. Lady shiva
5. Red hood
4.

Introduce a super villain team for Arrow to promote and not one that goes away after a single arc make them relevant.

For example Brick recruits the Royal Flush Gang using resources that can be later linked back to Vandal Savage to make them more capable of holding their own.

Jack has the eye patch that helps guide his wrist cannon designed to look enough like Lawton's to make Diggle think its him.

Ace is actually Grundy reanimated but originally mindless regaining his memory as the series continues resulting in him leaving the Gang after Arrow succeeds in making him realise he's being used.

King could use that series one villain who kidnapped Laurel but didn't expect Arrow to call in Quentin as backup.

Queen could use King's girlfriend but make her a worthy partner to him.

Ten might be worth making her the daughter of one of Arrow's victims or better yet one of Malcolm's remember the first person Arrow ripped off and was later killed by the Dark Archer?

She thinks Arrow killed her dad and has been training for the day she can avenge her father. Make it more interesting and have Nyssa get involved taking the girl as her protégé once its clear who her true foe is.

Since Malcolm now leads the League make this even more amusing and name Ten, Talia... now how old was Talia to Bruce again?

By the way, it would be inconsistent for Batman to be introduced in this universe. In the Arrow episode with the Flash crossover, Cisco made references to Batman, including calling the Arrow base of operations the "Arrowcave". If Batman were a real person in this universe and not a comic book/Adam West TV show, how would Cisco know about the secret place where he keeps his wonderful toys?

I think you're looking way to deep into a nod. Besides, the Arrowcave is actually something Green Arrow had in the comic books.

I don't think Batman exists in the setting, either, and I still don't think you should take random easter eggs like that as evidence. Some easter eggs are just easter eggs.

I agree with people about upstaging the main cast, it needs to be done delicately like Huntress was. Even Atom caused too much of a stir but that was because they then wanted to concentrate on the love triangle than Atom properly powering up, and then that got deflated as it got close as they announced LoT.

I do think we are at best moment to do so though. Atom will no longer be operating in Starling, Arrow has retired and Arsenal has left. Only Black Canary is left. After three years of watching Arrow and a year of Central City chaos it wouldn't be hard to imagine there would be a new hero to help pick up the slack. I know we're getting Diggle suiting up but I think someone new for a small episode arc at the beginning. Storyline could easily be some young adult/teenager with little training and starts suiting up. Without Arrow there to guide and train like Roy did, Diggle could watch as this young guy/girl is killed assisting himself, BC and Thea. That would be the motivation for Diggle suiting up and taking Arrow's place as he realises they can't risk people untrained stepping into the shoes. As this happens Oliver realises the same thing causing even more friction between Diggle and Oliver with Diggle claiming that Oliver's abandonment of the city as his failing the city and that someone innocent has already suffered for it.

I'd like to see Jim Harper, aka the Guardian, visit the show. He already has two connections. Wildcat, since they were trained by the same person, and his nephew, Roy Harper.

Well, he might, but they simply won't acknowledge him. But, according to the Flash show, we do know that WayneTech, therefore Bruce Wayne, exists in this universe.

If you really want a trinity, how about Martian Manhunter, Green Arrow and Tomorrow Woman, they can all easily fill the roles for DC's big trinity, plus they are have green in their disguisee.

I'm skeptical that the movies want to use J'onn J'onzz. That being said, I doubt Arrow would use him either. Maybe Flash.

The Question would be my absolute favorite choice of character to introduce. He'd just be so much fun. I'm also partial to introducing Hal Jordan in Season 5 in order to set up a Green Lantern/Green Arrow spinoff. Right now, I'd say it's 50/50 whether Hal Jordan is available. However, I agree with others. The priority is to make the current Arrow characters function well. As much as I want the Question, he is a loner with no powers, so he'd not do well in a subordinate role on Team Arrow.

I would LOVE to see Martian Manhunter on Arrow but only if they bring back his original hard boiled detective style that he was originally created as

Martian-Manhunter-6.jpg

This got dropped later on, but Martian Manhunter was a hard boiled Sam Spade type detective who was secretly an alien from Mars. They used this version in Justice League New Frontier as well.

I would love to see this scene from New Frontier where Martian Manhunter watches a 1950s noir movie on TV and turns into the main character.

And if they depict his actual Martian Form like this when he's alone in his room or when he's in the shadows I think it would look cool and scary. You could even show him in the shadows with his red eyes for the first few episodes he is introduced

It depends on how it's handled. The Atom's problem, well aside from it being an obvious case of "we REALLY wanted to do Blue Beetle, but weren't allowed" was that he wasn't integrated well into the rest of the show. For most of the season, he seemed to be off on his own and not really connected to the other plotlines (which were somewhat interconnected), so it felt awkward.

By contrast, the way that Barry Allen was introduced last season felt pretty natural/believable (to me at least).

Huh. I'm a huge Martian Manhunter fan, but. . . huh. I suppose you could maybe do something with him, though it'd be tricky. Going full throttle, he'd be more expensive than Supergirl, who is already too expensive for CW. OTOH, his shapeshifting and more subtle powers could be used for a lot of low-cost episodes. Save money on those eps, and you could afford the occasional expensive aerial ballet.

The bigger issue is, do you throw challenges that he needs to stretch his powers to defeat? Or do you focus the drama on his interpersonal, and internal, conflicts, as he finds his home on Earth and seeks to understand humanity? You could, *maybe*, work it so that 90% of the time, once it comes to actual conflict the plot is over, because J'onn is basically an out-of-context demigod. The drama is in how he chooses to use his vast power to deal with a situation, in a way that satisfies his ethics. That would be a tricky road to walk, however.
