Now this isn't a versus thread really, I was just curious about whether or not Wolvie's claws could penetrate Suzy's force fields. We've all seen her contain some very powerful forces from fires and explosions to the Thing and the Hulk. We all know Wolvie doesn't have that kind of raw power. I would think the fields would work along the same principles as a bullet proof vest but then a blade should be able to penetrate them. I'm not sure so I thought I'd pose the question to the panel of experts. :venom:

Wolverine would win solely because he's an over-exposed, popular cash-cow and Suzie's being killed off apparently.

I was lucky. My comicshop guy warned me it wasn't very good and to put it back when I brought it to the counter

In EOS she put a forcefield around his lungs before he teleported himself the hell outta there.
EOS?

Wolverine can't cut richards as long as he keeps streching, but he can only sketch so far. Incisiable Women protected her husband by putting force fields around Wolverine's claws, so my guess is eventully Wolverine could cut Mr. Fantastic. Invisiable Woman also caused Wolverine's image receptors in his eyes to go invisable which made him blind, but he has other great senses to use.

and in Fantastic Four #374, Wolverine didn't get tosse out a window, he jumped at her force field, wich nocked him back and then he started breaking down her force field, thats when Thing pulled Wolveirne away and cut halh his face off. The New Fantastic Four(hulk, spiderman, Wolverine, Ghost Rider) clearly won.

That was a good issue.

Ghostrider, Hulk, Wolverine and Spider-Man on the same team is something you don't see every day.

I would love to see the New Fantastic Four get a mini, have them have to jion up again for some reason, I dont care, its a powerhouse of a team.:)

That makes sense to me -- if your eyes are invisible, then light would just pass right through without being absorbed. Hence, no vision.

But then how come Sue can still see when her eyes (and the rest of her) are invisible.

I think you deserve a no-prize does MArvel still give those out?

I'm not sure. I actually won a No-Prize once, but not for finding a mistake in a comic. Stan Lee posted some random Latin phrase in his column (I'm don't remember why), and offered a No-Prize to anyone who could give him a translation. I took four years of Latin in high school, so it was no problem.

Still ranks among my proudest achievements. :D

I flipped through it, saw her alive at the end of the book, and then just put it back :)

I think what she does is bends light around herself so she isn't technically invisible but others can't see her. If that makes any sense. That's why when she eats something when invisible you don't see the entire digestive process, which would be pretty gross I might add. :venom:

the "why doesn't Sue become blind when she's invisible?" debate is ANCIENT and an explanation was come up with somewhere along the way a long long time back. In the Ruins miniseries, that was her curse though, that she was blind.

oh, like Wolverine isn't on enough teams

Wolverine os only on Astonishing X-Men and New Avengers, but I don't think he will last on New Avengers and notice I said a mini, they dont need to be a perminent team just a temp team brought together for some reason. ofcourse they would have to wait for Hulk to come back from whereever he is, and it would have to be after Civil War and after leaves New Avengers. I think its a good idea:)

logan should not be able to cut through the invisible force field, he doesn't have the force.

Sue should pretty much mop the floor with him.

While Wolverine wails on her shields, she makes a littel force field inside his brain and bisects it.

Sue Richards is the one member of the Fantastic Four no one should ever, ever, ever piss off.

Wolvie kinda outsmarted the whole FF including Suzie with tonnes of tech and enchancements in Enemy of the State...

quote from wolvie in enemy of the state (same issue)

"the invisibility's nothing, but those tricks with her forcefields could be a problem. shes the only one here who actually makes me nervous"

And if you want to look at the issue again It took one page for sue to down wolverine (actually two panels on that page). He didn't fight her, he ran away from her and had to be rescued by a hydra agent.

So you've basically proved wolvie would get his butt handed to him by sue.

I love how Sue began as this typical superhero girlfriend with the submissive maternal demeanor and Stan Lee bucked the trend by giving her powers so she could be part of the group. Back then, invisibility seemed like a pretty passive power..

Today, she's easily the most powerful member of the FF (arguable if you take Reed's brain into account) and an all around ass kicker
