Iron Fist?

On www.**************.com it is stated that Ray Park(Toad from X-Men movies) will play Danny Rand A.K.A Iron Fist.Is this true???Or is a lie???I havn't heard anything about an Iron Fist movie.Any comments???

Yeah, this has been in development hell for like 3 or 4 years.

They've been trying to make this movie since 2000/2001.Kirk Wong was set to direct and then Steve Carr, in both cases Ray Park would have starred.

I feel a little sorry for Park since he's been the real driving force behind that project. Always talking it up in interviews and so. The movie would be perfect to show off his skills.

I agree, i remember all those interviews he talked about the movie. I was really looking forward to it, and i thought he was the right perspn for the job.

I'd rather see them combine the Luke Cage project with Iron Fist, and they do a Heroes for Hire movie. It would be much better.

Anyhow, as enthusiastic as Ray is regarding the project, I feel that they need to get somebody else for Danny. Given a proper stunt co-ordinator, they'd be much better off going with a real actor that has a bit of martial arts training rather than a martial artist that only has a bit of acting ability.

I'd sooner see Heroes for Hire too instead of the two seperate movies.

Iron Fist can't support a film all by himself (Elektra flashbacks), it's impossible to separate him from Power Man.

I wish they finally wake up and add him to the PM script already : it happened with a big shot like Silver Surfer for FF2 so why not...

I liked the idea of having Ray Park for Iron Fist, but now i think someone else would have to play him. Though, Iron Fist not being that well known of a character maybe a Heroes for Hire film would help him out. Recently a new ongoing has been announced so i think that can also help him with people who don't know that much about him.
