Ok so I just rewatched Ironman 3 something has bothered me about it since my 1st Watch so here goes if the Ironman armour runs from the arch reactor in Tony’s chest why did he have to leave it with the kid to recharge why couldn’t he hook it up and use it to get back for another suit. I keep hoping I missed something to explain this and it isn’t just a plot hole. Hopefully someone can point out what I missed. Thanks

eh. i guess one of the power conduits that connects his reactor to his suit must have been damaged in the fall/flight.

thats really the only viable excuse, being that the arc reactor was introduced as producing 8 gigajoules per second. And your average car battery produces just about 12 volts.

1 gigajoule = 6,241,509,744,511,499,766,555,738,112.00 electron volts

It's possible the suit may even have a function for repairing the connection, but that it was so low on power it couldnt even boot up.
