I thought I'd pass these along. :)

The last 4 are new from the last audition call they had done, The Gene Kahn role sounds like Mandarin or a front man for Mandarin.

^It's got to be the Mandarin. And since none of the others matches Stane's description at all I must assume he's been cast since Fav already confirmed he's in it. I'll bet dollars to dougnuts that Bridges is Stane.

The Mandarin did use the alias 'Gene Kahn' at one point in the comics.

I still think that Bridges is playing Howard Stark because the description of his role doesn't sound like Obadiah Stane.

Overall, this casting call is interesting.

That may be so but I'm just going off of what we know so far. Stane is confirmed as being in the movie. Howard Stark hasn't been confirmed yet as far as I know. Bridges could play either role just fine I'm sure.

Sounds like they are going for an unknown for The Mandarin and gonna throw Tony a bone with some Model type for his playboy lifestyle:woot:

Thanks Miranda:yay:

Isn't General Gabriel a character from the comics? From around the Armor Wars? The name sounds familiar, but I not sure if that is the case.

True, but this casting call also doesn't mention Happy Hogan. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Gene Kahn is the Mandarin's alias, I would have no problem at all if he went by that in the movie and have "The Mandarin" be the name for his organization.

I agree, that appears to be what they are going for, it makes sense that Jeff Bridges would be playing either Howard Stark or Obidiah Stane not Mandarin.

So I guess that Howard Stark isnt in the film then. If he was I think it would be awesome if he was played by Ian McShane...

He would be the right age and looks enough like RDJ to pass as his father.

Film Crews in Lone Pine Seek Extras
By Tom Woods
Mar 29, 2007, 10:30

This month film crews working on the movie adaptation of the Marvel Comic book charactrer, Ironman, will be in the Lone Pine area. Inyo County Film Commissioner Chris Langley reports that they are looking for extras to play middle eastern insurgents as well as male and female military types.

Ironman of comic book fame will hit the silver screen. Filming takes place in the Lone Pine area.

Ironman will star Robert Downey, Jr. as the troubled millionaire who builds an armored suit that he uses to fight crime. Gwyneth Paltrow will also play a role.

The Alabama Hills and other Inyo locations will once again serve as background for the film. Commissioner Langley reports that the scouting crew for the film company wanted a place that could fill in for Afghanistan. With its scrubby desert and craggy mountains, Inyo County has doubled for Afghanistan in other movies and commercials.

If you are interested in being an extra in the film, Ironman, drop off your pictures and contact information at the Lone Pine Chamber of Commerce or at the front counter at the Lone Pine Film History Museum.

Ironman is not the only film action in Lone Pine these days. Chris Langley reports that a recently filmed Bayer nutritional advertisement now airs on television, and a horror film crew, the Taxidermist, will be in the area to film in the near future.

The week of April 1st, a crew will come to town to film a Kia car commercial. This production does not need people, but it does need cars.

The crew is looking for 80’s style cars and trucks, not white and preferably blue or green. Old pick-ups and a silver travel trailer are also wanted for this shoot. If you have a vehicle that they might be able to use, call the Lone Pine Chamber of Commerce by Friday. The number is 876-4444.
