That's just fantastic! t:
So,for the posters who saw the movie, how good was the scene with Iron Man blowing up the tank?? I can't wait to see it again.
iIt was so much better than in the trailers, as I just mentioned in my mini-review, the shot looked a bit like a playsation 3 game in the clips but in the finished film it looked totally photo realistic and blended into the background. In fact you would be hard pressed to distinguish a lot of the effects from practical to CG - some of the iron man vs iron monger fight scene shots you could just about tell but were talking top cg not bad or mediocre.
In terms of what happens with the scene it is at the tail end of a longer sequence in the middle east were he is carrying out his own kind of justice and is fired at and taken off guard by the tanks shot.
Damn, we're at 89% at RT right now...
Looking good, so far...
^Looking good is an understatement. This is looking like it could compete for Spider-Man 2 for best critically reviewed superhero movie!
89% fresh at RT with 20 reviews. Ah, you beat me to it!
Heh, that's pretty doubtful. The film hasn't even reached 100 reviews. I guess it will get something like 70-80%, if it's really good.
There's a good review over at Action-Figures.com, didn't grab the link but it was really positive and said that fans will be quite satisfied...
I can't wait to see the end results on the meter.
Talking of the end result on the tomatometer, are we talking a month away?
Is that when all the reviews will have been submitted?
We'll have a pretty stable number by the end of this weekend. I mean, a few late reviews will trickle in every now and then, but at that point it won't be enough to really affect the percentage too much (if at all)
I'm just wondering how many reviews have to be logged on the page before the consensus appears.
^Ah. Good question. I imagine it'll be up on Friday, but I don't know for sure.
ETA: Whoa. Hell has officially frozen over. Scott Holleran actually liked a movie:
What's the world coming to?
ETA2: Owen Gleiberman from Entertainment Weekly gives it a B+
92% on RT (24 fresh, 2 rotten)
It just keeps going up and up.
It's now up to 92%...i'm so glad a comic book movie gets such a praise!!
Kudos to Downey Jr and Favreau
Yeah its rocking the RT meter.
Two more raves from James Berardinelli and Michael Phillips (who yeah, technically we already heard from, but it didn't count on the Tomatometer):
Sorry, double post.
It's beating BB on the RT meter at the moment!
28 fresh 2 rotten t:
