Most of the other Marvel flicks, we usually have a few characters that have phrases that have become ingrained in pop culture: "spider-sense tingling", "i'm the best there is at what I do", "Hulk smash!" and so forth. I've read most issues, but he's never had any one crossover phrase that he's known for, is he? The Marvel/Capcom fighting games gave him a few for his winning poses, but book-wise, I don't think so.

3. "I'm a futurist." Aren't all super heroes futurists in some way? Tony Stark, otherwise known as Stan Lee's Iron Man has an affinity for this phrase and uses it often. Tony Stark was one of the people who founded The Avengers and along the way has made friends with characters from all different religious backgrounds. Since Stark is written to be a worldly man, religion is not one of his stronger qualities. Perhaps the future holds more meaning to this Stan Lee character than religion and that's the reason behind the catch phrase.

Thats not really a catch phrase more of a statement like saying "I'm a republican." or "I like chocolate."

He's probably going to be more well known for his personality than silly catch phrases or any certain gimmick.

I'm going to have to agree on that one. Thinking back, I can't really remember one that stood out the most as memoriable. But who knows, maybe the film will give him one that he'll start using in the comics.:o

We don't need another "With great power comes great responsibility." It was touching the first time, but damn...:hehe:

I don't much care for catch phrases. I'm glad Iron Man doesn't have one. They seem very silly when put in live action, "It's clobbering time!":whatever:.

And I agree, the great power/great responsibility line was over used in the Spidey films. That's not really a catch-phrase though. I't more like a slogan or an idea. They should have had it once, maybe twice in SM1 and that's it. Afterward they're just beating a dead horse.

I don't think he needs a line. He has tons of witty remarks though and I love that. The latest issue for example some great stuff in the there.

We need Nova in the sequel...

Blue Blazes!

"I am Iron Man."

I will bet you he says it. Not sure if they'll queue the song in after... but we'll see.

No note on whether anyone attempts to call him Shellhead, I assume.

While I agree there shouldn't be a catch phrase of some sort, I think it'd be cool to somehow hint at the fact that he's not just Iron Man...but that he's the "INVINCIBLE" Iron Man...

Knowing Marvel, they'll hold off on using the word 'Invincible' until it's time to come up with the title for the expected sequel.

Not sure if it is a spoiler, but it refers to the "Invincible".

They do mention it in the novelization.

I can recall a catchy phrase from the video games.

"Superior Tech"

Iron man says this after winning the first round on the following video:

I think this phrase does give a beacon - as a start - for those new fans who
want to settle thought about Iron man.

You beat me to it! All I want in a sequel is for Iron Man to pull out a screen filling pistol from some kind of pocket dimension and blast the Mandarin with pink love rays. Superior Tech!

in the iron man animated series when something went wrong he'dusually say "typical just typical":im:

"I am Iron Man" is his catchphrase.

Tends to mark a turning point from losing to winning.

"Can you smell what the iron is burning!?!" :woot:

"I can stop any time I want."
Conversely, since he seems to be hiding his true identity for this movie,
"I am NOT Iron Man."
