Interviewer: (Jokingly)So there's gonna be no 40 hour extended cut.

Favreau: No, I hope not. I looked at a cut and the longest cut of everything was a little less than 3 hours, which isn't that long for a first cut. It will be below 2 by the time it comes out. So, I have a lot of decisions to make.

Every comic book movie needs to be near enough 2 hours or beyond, in my opinion.
Plus the fact that it's the origin movie,it's essential to be near the 2 hour running time.
Oh well,maybe it will be 110 minutes,I'm sure Spider-Man was

you didnt do the mistake. but someone did.
1 hour is not realsitic. if you delete 1 hour footage then you lose the whole story. even if you have the main parts there would be missing something. it would the destroy everything.

Sounds like a lot to cut, but as he is the director, I'm just gonna have to just take his word for it.
