I'd say we can expect the IM teaser to be attached to Spidey 3 next year....or Fantastic Four and The Silver Surfer.

This is the thread for discussion of what you want to see in the trailer, and etc.

May 2nd, 2008!!

Little early for this, isn't it?

Sheesh...

Anyway, I'd like to see something in captions along the lines of 'This Summer....' <action> 'The suit....' <action> 'really does....' Have Iron Man fly straight towards the screen and then halt in mid-air. 'Make the Man'

Seriously though, I'm not too sure about the teaser trailer. Would be good to see at least two different versions of the Iron Man armour, plus cram in some Tony Stark. I'd love it if they started out with Stark being Stark, chatting up the ladies, etc so you didn't even know it was going to be a superhero flick.

Too early for specifics.

Id say a safe bet would be Spider-Man 3 yeah.

Spider-man 3 it may be a bit early but it will be the right movie to put it on

a teaser trailer should just do that...tease. just like spidey1's did or even batman begin's

no name, no cast, just quck little shots and a release date...but something creative that tricks the audience. like the wtc teaser, ppl thought it was a bank heist movie, or batman was something totally different, well non-batman ;). hell even red eye had a good one (romantic chick-flick fakeout)

maybe show some troops in afghanistan or something tricking people it's a war movie. or have some dude stuck in nyc traffic, complaing to his family and all of a sudden a battle-engaged ironman comes flying into the hood of his car, and flies back off.

or maybe the could do something off the wall like resident evil did (umbrella corp), or one of my personal favs i, robot (that whole ad-campaign about the robots changing our lives). they could even link it to stark industries/international/whatever hell its going to be called in the movie

The best teaser for a superhero movie I've ever seen is the one they released for Hulk when SM1 came out. It was great. Too bad the rest of the trailers and the movie wasn't as good, but that 1st teaser was fantastic, IMO. I agree, use mis-direction at the begining and then throw a twist(it's Iron Man) into it around the middle of the teaser. That would work well.

I agree, that first Hulk teaser was genius.

They just have to restrain themselves from showing the Marvel logo.

Yeah, that's one of the reasons the Hulk trailer worked.

Id keep the screen black and say from the creators who brought you Spider-man....and show spidey doing something amazing...Hulk...and have him doing somehting incredible....the fantastic four.....johnny doing the flame 4 thing....this summer....the suit really does make the man.....and then cut to the Iron Man logo.

negative ghost rider...putting the marvel logo, or referencing it, instantly narrows down the possibilities and diffuses the "shock" factor a teaser should have

yeah Hulk's teaser ruled.
I like the mis-direction idea for the Iron Man teaser. That would rule.

They could do one with Stark walking through Stark industries talking to the camera bout technology and then have him swing open the door and turn to the camera and say "the suit really does make the man" and then have the camera move round him to show the suit in the centre of the room

Another approach could be a voice over covering the basic premise with a spotlight shining on parts of the suit in a darkened room, then light comes one to show the whole suit and the camera pans to show stark standing there and he drops the tagline to end the teaser

Of course there is always the possibility that they will have shot enough to show some footage giving the audience an idea of who Stark is and cap the trailer off with a kickass moneyshot

They have to have a huge marketing for this Movie. They need to show the trailer with both F4 and Spider-Man. I think Spider-Man did a great job showing the trailer with SR. Marvel marketing owns!

Let the SFX speaks for the trailer, instead of a moustached actor says that cheesy one-liner "the suit really does make the man".

The teaser could show the following sequence :
1. Garage Lab with a Rocketeer-like personal jet, blueprints and Engineering books.
2. MIT class room.
3. Stark Tower.
4. Iron Suits Room door is opened.
5. Gear up.
6. Iron Man flies and stop a streaking missile with palm repulsor ray, and fly toward the audience with a booming sound.
7. Uni-Beam Circle charging with the Iron Man Logo, Marvel, and then May 2 2005.

Oh, Iron Man can't have just a pure teaser. It must have "Iron Man" logo clearly in the teaser because not many people know about Iron Man compared to Hulk or Spider-Man, and then have an urge to see "that Iron Man" movie in Summer 2008.
