you know you're probably better off waiting to get it on 360 or ps3. I'm not sure if the ps2 version is the same as the next-gen versions but graphically, it's disappointing. Gameplay is okay but for some reason you can't catch missiles in the current-gen versions. the ps2 version is merely a rental.

is there a general consensus as to which nex-gen console is better / more popular...Xbox 360 vs. PS3?

I'm leaning more towards the 360, as it's cheaper and it seems to have better games....

So i WON'T be mad if i bought this game new, and not wait until it's used? From what y'all been saying, it's very challenging, and unlike a lot of other superhero movie games. So i like the sound of that! So even if it's short, overcoming all the challenging levels makes up for that shortcoming.

Hey, question. Is the score from the movie used or is it completely original like Superman Returns? I hated hearing some ******ed version of the Superman theme for that game.

to answer alot, someone mentioed on the next gen games you cant catch missles? its about timing... thats all. once you get that, its do-able.. i won't say easy, because its like real life... you can't hit the B button when the missle is 15ft awqay and catch it... but you can if its like 4ft lol...

as for which next gen system to go for... XBOX 360. Its cheaper, and the achievment system is amazing. You get more for your money when you buy a game because its not just beating a lvl, but beating it a certain way, or finding all the hidden locations (which iron man doesn't have, just examples). Plus, i havn't really seen a GREAT exclusive game for PS3... so i have no reason to buy one.

this game is challening... its not a kiddy game. I beat it on Normal, but it was rough. I'm going through it again on formiddle (however hard mode is spelled) and it looks like it'll be rough once i get higher.

I don't think its a rental unless you're not an achievement collector or you dont like playing games more then once... someone here said they played it and got sick of it... well thats an opinion. As you can see, there are more people that really enjoyed it.

alot are talking about superman, its alot like superman but better. the story is better, the flying and fighting controls are better as well.

but i'm going to get back to playing, i have 2 more acheivments to go... beating the game on hard, and beating a lvl without using weapons

Can anyone tell me how do you defeat the Stark Helicopter in the last part of the flight training sequence after you battle the ground and air forces ? I defeated them all and then the Stark copter is at the latter part and I battled it for a long time firing everything at it and still could not figure out how to destroy it.

Why the hell did they release the PS2/Wii version on the PC. I have a budget build that should CRUSH this game's "next-gen" requirements yet I'm stuck with the crap version?

im a huge Iron Man fan...so, i was pretty jacked to hear about the movie and game. i got the game(ps2) and to be honest..i was pretty disappointed in graphics and the voice acting. kinda cheesy overall. i still like it (kinda) for the fact that i can play as Iron Man ..but, i dont think this would be a game i would recommend to non fans.

Re-route power to your weapons and keep firing on it, especially with your guided missiles. It gradually wears the helicopter's power down. Hover slightly above the helicopter too so you're not in range of it's machine gun fire.

I liked most of SM3, but this game isn't nearly as much fun. I also finished all of it in two days without really trying very hard. The game is the opposite of the movie in terms of coolness.

as for the bad casting in the PS2 ver. i dont know anything about, but the voice actors are from the movie, in the 360/ps3 vers.

Finally some Wii footage. I'll admit it looks nowhere near as great as the 360 version, but it's not as bad as I thought it would be. It can't possibly be worse than Fantastic 4:ROTSS for the Wii. That game was bad, I mean you couldn't even jump in it.

Sorry, I don't mean anything personal and I don't think I bash the Wii all the time. The Wii has some brilliant games - Smash Bros, Mario Kart, Mario Galaxy, Zelda etc. but games that are ported and developped mainly with next gen in mind, like Iron Man, really become an after thought and don't do the Wii justice at all imo.

I admit I'm a bit of a graphics ****e and therefore am quite biased when it comes to my 360/next gen systems but tbh it just annoys me to see the Wii getting screwed so often because of lack of effort put into the ported games.
