I like Downey Jr, and even made a thread regarding him taking the role but after seeing him in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang he seems to ragged like he wouldn't be able to last a franchise. He looks like a burn-out.

i was just joking. he was a burn-out. in and out of rehab like every year. and got arrested for drug possesion or something. he's the classic rich guy who abuses himself by being dependant on drugs.

Not an unknown but also not a oversaturated personality either. Someone suggested his brother Kevin but Kevin is a joke actor.

Jim Caviezel, Mark Ruffalo, John Stamos, Matt Dillon and Robert Downey Jr.

They are my favorite candidates.

But the only bad thing is that they all are 40s-years old. Thats bad, because when 3rd movie come, some of them will be 50s.

We need 35 years-old actor.

I picture Dillon as more of an everyman.
Good point. He just doesn't look like an industrialist. Also he looks funny with a mustache.

I like the idea of Jim Caviezel in the role.

Colin Ferrel has the right look and the right age(he's 30) but I think he's too big to get now.

Jim Caviezel is 38 so sequels could run into trouble.

Around 30 I believe. Same as Bruce Banner and Reed Richards.

Colin Farrel isn't too big for Iron Man. Iron Man is too big for him.

I meant for how conservative they want to be with the budget. He'd cost anywhere from 10-15M.

I'm thinking not quite as "unknown" as Brandon Routh but close.

isn't that what jon favs said? "an unknown like brandon routh"

I just watched Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang, and I really am leaning toward Robert Downey Jr. now. Dude can act.

he's in his mid 40s

How old is this Iron Man supposed to be? I hate the idea of a super young billionaire CEO. He'd need time to get everything together.

To me, late 30s / early 40s is about perfect.
