as far as i remember .. he has only been in one issue where bruce says that "Batman is dead"

You know 52 would have been a perfect opportunity to define who Bruce Wayne is. We know that the playboy and to a large extent even the scary Batman, aren't the real Bruce Wayne... DC could have developed who Wayne was without either mask.

I agree. We'll probally see some more of Batman with Grant Morrison's run on Batman and in World War III

Bruce may not be a playboy anymore but the Bruce Wayne is a mask facade ended years ago with the Bruce Wayne: Murderer/Fugitive arc and even more recently with 52.

Ostrander should have gotten the memo to not write boring, mediocre stories for Batman. Seriously, I enjoyed the Martian Manhunter mini over Ostranders psuedo-run on Batman.

Yeah WTF was that all about.
Was that the only issue that was really important to Batman?

-about the Bruce Wayne facade, recently in Morrison and Kuberts run he has had an appearance as "playboy" again. And I'm betting that Dini will do one issue with no Batman but only Bruce Wayne.

I think the tag line says it all. What we've seen about Clark has been nothing out of the ordinary, him being a reporter. I guess a lot of us thought we'd see some development on the whole cruise thing, but it didn't pan out. Or, since there are still 15 issues to go, we could still see some development on that.

I thought it was really cool how they linked such an obscure character as The Ten Eyed Man to a cult that would have something to do with Batman's redemption.

Ugh. The whole point of 52 is that there is no Batman. Not him showing up every single week - like Waid seems to want to do in Brave and the Bold.

And if any of you had bothered to read Dini's Detective he has been Bruce Wayne more in that then he has been for the last ten years. Even Robinson wrote a changed Batman in Face the Facts.
