Is anyone just sick of Wolverine?
I mean he dominated all the X-men films.
I am sick to death of the Jean,Scott and Wolverine love triangle.
I mean I know he is an X-Men favorite but you know just give him his own movie from the get go.Or let us have some character development with the original X-men.Then bring him in the third movie or somthing.Man none of the other characters who I like really had any time or character development.I mean I like him too but I'm just getting sick of him.
The new X-men cartoon animated feature is Wolverine and the X-men.
UUUGGHHH!!!!I'm just done. There is no mystery to this guy anymore.I feel bad for Scott(Cyclops). It takes more to being a leader than being tough and mean and the best at what you do.Scott is a leader. He actually thinks!!!You use Wolverine as the muscle the backbone behind Scott. He's not a leader or shoudn't be anyway he wasn't written that way.I know there are alot of die hard fans .Trust me I like him too.Not as much as I use too. It's like watching a Basketball game and the star player is a ball hogger at the expense of the team.To call the new animated cartoon Wolverine and the X-men wasn't bad enough but to have him take lead over Scott is too much.I could see if Scott wasn't there or they were looking for him.The end of X-men 3 is like geeshhh if Scott weren't dead (because they never found his body)he might as well stay dead because Wolverine is in charge of the mansion now too.As far as I'm concerned they shouldn't have to make a Wolverine movie they already had 3.They were called X-men 1, 2, and 3.I'm sure alot of people will love it because Wolverine has a large following. My favorite character is the Hulk but they are starting to overdo him as well.I mean I like steak just like the next guy but if I eat it every day it begins to lose it's flavor after a while.

I was just wondering if anyone else felt the way I did.

Unless the "Wolverine" movie tanks at the box office and the comics in which he is featured drop off in sales I fear that we are going to have at least the current amount of "Wolverine" in our diet for some time to come !

You think you're sick of Wolverine now? Just wait until the movie comes out. He'll be everywhere.

The sad thing is, Wolverine is a great character. But he's so mass produced and over used that his stories and character have become diluted.

I'm always sick of Wolverine until I read something that makes me remember how cool he can be. Right now, I'm getting about all the Wolverine I can stand in Wolverine: First Class, which is hilarious and all-around well written.

Well, it's about time someone took a stand on the issue!

...yes, Wolverine is overexposed. There's actually still plenty of good Wolverine stories coming out. The recently concluded "Get Mystique!" arc was good, The Amazing Immortal Man and Other Bloody Tales was a lot of fun, and as Corp pointed out WFC is on fiah.

The guy has like 6-7 different on going titles every month: Wolverine, Wolverine first class, Astonishing Xmen, Uncanny X-men, Wolverine Origins, New Avengers, X-Force...the list goes on people not to mention all the one-shots and specials. Marvel needs to condense it to 3 at most. I would say keep Wolverine, X-Force, and maybe have him appear in Uncanny from time to time. Everything else we could do without.

Wolverine Origins can go. He probably doesn't need to be appearing in Uncanny since he's in Astonishing. He should leave the New Avengers, and honestly, it wouldn't be a bad idea to take him off X-Force.

I just have a problem with Wolverine in Avengers.

Take him out of there and I'm cool.

I was sick of Wolvie back with his 1st issue. He was WAY too over hyped, and I hope Marvel doesn't do the same with THOR. OVER hyping a character can kill the Character too.

I like me a bit of Logan now and then. His recent Vaughan mini, and Mystique arc were fantastic. Can't see how you can get that annoyed if you check those out

Wolverine has become Marvel's Superman. Not in power level or icon status, but in the "he's hard to write b/c everything's been done to him already" way. He can heal from anything so no matter what gets thrown his way you know he's coming out the other end.
Because he's in so many books, the amount he goes through is up as a result of being out there so much.

Regardless, I still love him and his stories. Like any other long running player, he can be written great and bad sometimes.

I'd say just leave him in X-Force, take him off all the other teams, and ditch Origins. That way he has the one team book he makes the most sense on, one solo ongoing, and one lighter flashback ongoing, plus whatever crossovers and events are happening at the moment. Good balance.

I never liked the guy and thought at best he should just be having steet level fights instead of coming out on top of major league fights.

I honestly do not see what the big deal is. I mean, it's not like every story revolves around Wolverine. Messiah Complex had **** to do with Logan, Civil War had **** to do with Logan, Secret Invasion has **** to do with Logan, other than the fact that he's a part of the MU, and therefore is affected by it. And when was the last time Wolverine's solo book had an impact on the rest of the MU? Enemy of the State? Please. If you don't like Wolverine: Origins, then don't buy it. If you don't like BKV's Logan, then don't buy it. If you don't like his main solo book, then don't buy it. And be thankful that at the very least, Marvel's not forcing the character into situations that can only work if Wolverine is there. Meaning, while he may appear in Astonishing X-Men, Uncanny X-Men, New Avengers and Secret Invasion, he's just there. The plot does not revolve around him. If the stories begin to get Wolverine-centric like they were 15 years ago, then you'd have a valid beef.

Really, this is why the publishers don't take the message board community seriously.

Quoted for truthiness.

I thought I was safe. I read tons of indie books, and only kept reading one Marvel book, just because I wanted to keep my collection complete...

And, then... Wolverine joined the Fantastic Four. :whatever:

You realize his first appearance was fighting the Hulk. Which he lost. In fact...he's never beaten the Hulk.

It did seem he was in every other comic I read last month from Amazing Spider-Man to New Avengers to Logan to Secret Invasion (a pretty good book about his past) all the way to X-Force and Wolverine.

I just want to know how he goes from Middle East, to Savage Land, to New York to Russia, and still has time to screw around with X-Force.
