This isn't me jumping on a bandwagon but you never seem to ever take a step back and take in another person's explanation, belief, retort, etc.
It's a silly debate on a geek website not a congressional hearing on global warming.

A silly debate on a geek website, then why are you still posting, if you think you're too good for it

*ahem*

How do you pay for sex with hookers, while living at home?

And where do you have sex with them?

And how often do you pay them to do so?

*ahem*

It's been two months. get some new material.

Thank you for proving my point.

A debate is a debate.

If you are on a messageboard you should expect some sort of verbal back and forth with someone else, using some sort of substantial fact or point a view.

I use the same type of style of debate whether I'm arguing which is better Star Wars or Star Trek or why I'm voting Republican this year and not Democrat. I don't think it's silly to back up what I say and to use viable sources or experience while doing so.

But then again, that's just me.

why are you voting republican this year?
I was speaking arbitrarily but if you do want me to segway, For next year's election, I think the Democrats should rally behind some sort of moderate candidate instead of a Black or Female presidential nominee for the sake of them being black or female. Obama is a well spoken individual and Hillary is well driven, however while we may be "liberal" in the big cities, but I don't think our country is ready for either. The people would vote Democrat if they had a nice moderate candidate. Forcing a almost "novelty" nominee, when they could win because people seem fed up with Republicans is mind boggling.

although i agree, that does'nt really seem like a good reason for going republican.

Overachievers aren't simply "hard workers", overachievers can achieve in a variety of fields and ways. Some of it is talent, some of it is hard work.

Also I think you are having trouble understanding why people work. Some people work at things because they genuinely enjoy them, not just because they make money and or provide them with a means of survival. I don't work out for it's consequences...I work out because I genuinely enjoy the activity.

A thread on a messageboard isn't a debate though. There isn't an organized structure set up, and a messageboard is sure as hell about informal as you can get.

That's like saying all the talking-over-each-other, yelling, interrupting, and cutting of mikes on the fox neutron channel is a debate, instead of what it is: a cluster****

Wow, 2 months and still the beating you took in that thread is still an open wound? Tell you what, when you can actually back up ANYTHING you say with a valid argument then you can attempt to advise someone else on their posts, until then you should probably stick to one word interjections.

Thanks,
B

If you want to be literal about it fine, an informal debate. :whatever:
