Sorry to hear that, man. Did you get another dog? Or has it been too soon?

Adopt a male cat, get it fixed and declawed. It changes its attitude so drastically. It becomes more friendly if you ask me.

In my experience....IE my cat, my friends cat, my aunt's cat, etc. It's proven right.

 I hope you're not serious! Declawing a cat is one of the most cruel things you can do to it, and it gives them a bad attitude rather than a good one.

Every cat I've seen who has had it done had a significant positive attitude change.

They've had their digit up to the knuckle amputated, I don't see how this is in any way good for the cat.

Screw the furniture, I'd rather have a well treated pet

I think the option to choose between de-clawing and being thrown down stairs is, well...stupid.

You throw your cat down stairs if it scratches the furniture, you declaw it if it scratches furniture. If you're so worried about the couch, maybe you shouldn't have a cat.

Get it SPAYED. Is it that hard to figure out? We don't need any more litters of kittens, the shelters are over-flowing right now. Getting your pet neutered will improve its temperment and give the females a chance at a longer life.

At least they aren't being thrown down 10 flights of stairs. Think about it.
You should not be allowed to own a pet. To suggest the "other option" to getting it declawed is throwing it down the stairs is ridiculous and callous.

I am so sad and disgusted right now. I came to this thread to share pics with people who love and respect their pets, but I'm confronted with caveman logic and cruel idiocy.

My cars arew declawed and I love both of them....it wasn't my choice...but if I ever get another cat Ill let it scratch me :o

You don't need to let it scratch you, clip its claws and get it a scratching post.

There's something special about being scratched by a cat. You have the marks to tell all your friends about. They laugh and call your cat a b**ch. It's a fun time.

The greatest thing a cat can leave on you to remember them by is a scar.

A squirrel peed on my moms leg once.

My guinea pig pissed on me BAD, like, fully relieved itself. It was sitting on my shoulder watching TV with me and suddenly my back was very warm and very wet.

I don't have the pigs anymore. :down

ACTUALLY, IF DONE CORRECTLY, THERE'S BARELY ANY BLOOD, OR PAIN FOR MORE THAN A DAY. MY WIFE'S MOTHER IS A VETERINARIAN, AND SHE DOES A SURGICAL REMOVAL OF THE ENTIRE CLAW, ROOT AND ALL. IT'S MUCH BETTER THAN JUST DIGGING DOWN AND CUTTING, AND THERE'S NO CHANCE OF THEM GROWING BACK IN-GROWN, AND/OR GETTING INFECTED.
