Is Ellen Page dissin' her Kitty Pryde role?

No, I'm pretty sure all that means is that Ellen Page isn't exactly a household name.

Yeah Thats what I thought. And I love ur avvy!

Thanks, xwolverine2 made it for me a few months ago. It's a keeper, what can I say?

Then she would've put 'Ellen Page ... who?'

It wouldn't surprise me if she was taking a small swipe at X3. Marsden did it during publicity for SR (on KTLA's morning show) when he said it helps when you're promoting a film you actually like.

when asked what she thought about the movie once, she said it was...interesting. She never showed herself too excited about it, and she stated that that is not really the kind of movies she enjoys the most...

After reading an interview she did, some time back, I got the feeling that she was not too happy with this role. Wonder why she ever took it.

Is that actually her own myspace for her new movie?

Yea, I get the feeling that overall, Ellen Page would rather be doing indy flicks, than big budget blockbuster films like X-Men.

But, again, if you don't like a particular role, you have nobody to blame but yourself, because you DON'T have to take it.

Good thing she did, though.

Agreed.

The fact that I'm not much of a Kitty Pryde fan isn't much of a secret around here.

But I do like the way she portrayed the character. The way the character was handled in the film, I actually liked. I enjoyed her being there. And maybe, just maybe, I can have a better appreciation of her in the comics.

:)

Ellen made a great Kitty, both soft and witty at the right times...actually, her and Kelsey couldnt complain about their characters, IMHO. If there were two things right in X3, they were Beast and Kitty.

I suppose that's fair. why would he like a film where his char gets hosed and "killed" during the first 10 minutes? It's not exactly a role to be passionate about.

At least in SR the production staff didn't have guns pointed at their heads by management, so the atmosphere would have been more supportive too.

Actually, Cyclops didn't die until a half hour in. So he was still alive for a third of the movie. Not 10 minutes.

If you wanna get technical.

:)

They did jack crap with Kitty in the new movie. There was no love triangle, and she had all of what? Like 5 lines (pretty much the average for over half the characters in the movie).

It was basically a bit part for Page. And considering Hard Candy, her talents were sorely wasted.

Oh, sorry. See how ungrateful we are? :)

Would it be so hard to do a scene of her sneaking out with Piotr instead for a night-time walk?

But I guess that goes against one of the parameters. "Colossus may say only one line". The strong and silent type, why I never...

And she was even called a ***** by Juggernaut!

Just like everyone else's... minus Hugh.

And Halle's, but she has no talent to begin with, so there.

It wouldn't surprise me if Ellen were complaining about her role. It certainly wouldn't be the first time she's done so. She's made it clear in the past she'd prefer to be doing more intelligent films.

that its not ellen my space, if you read the ellen interviews, she had a very good experience in X3, she like the character, if se doesnt like hollywood , thats another thing, i dont think that she put that...
