Is Face/Off really the best action movie ever?

I've seen a lot of respectible reviewers (including Empire magazine) name Face/Off as one of, if not the, best action movie ever. I've never rated it very highly - indeed, it was sanwiched between The Rock and Con Air, both of which I prefer.

Nope. I liked how Cage and Travolta switched roles like they did. But thats the only good part of the movie the rest is average, im not even sure i hate any Woo films that high

I wouldn't say it's the best action movie ever. I don't even think it's the best Woo movie ever. It's a good movie, but not good enough to be the best action movie.

I absolutely love Face/Off, and it's one of my personal favorites.

I don't consider any movie "the best", but Face/Off is really high up there along with True Lies, Die Hard With A Vengeance, The Mask of Zorro, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, T2, Commando, Predator, Demolition Man, Con Air, and so on, IMO.

Try "A Bittersweet life" sensational story, action, script, cinematograhpy and performances. Highly acclaimed for it's artistic content, a wonderful merge of drama and some action sequences that set it apart from the rest of the 'genre'.
