All superhero movies are science fiction unless it's an adventure hero such as Tarzan or even perhaps the batmanCatman said:I'm not sure if this has been discussed or not, but is this movie gonna be more sci-fi? Like...are we gonna be watching Silver Surfer traveling through different planets or something?

And when they attempt to make it real, it does indeed turn into ****.Catman said:Yes, but many filmmakers want to make them seem real. Dude, you know what I'm talking about! Its like what Bryan Singer did with the first two X-Men films. Make it seem real and s--t.

Well, tell Bryan Singer he failed, because none of that sh:t seemed real to me. You people and your realism bull with these fictional characters or/and powers and sometimes places.Catman said:Yes, but many filmmakers want to make them seem real. SeverianB said:I would say the first movie, and the comics are clearly more Sci-Fi than fantasy. For instance:
Reed Richards is a scientist, not a wizard.
The Four gain their powers from a cosmic storm, not a magic spell.
The Silver Surfer's powers are explained on a molecular level.
All of this is done with pseudo-science, which borders on fantasy, but the intention is to make it seem based in reality. People really *do* get mutated by cosmic rays, it often results in skin cancer, not the ability to fly, unfortunately.![]()
