I think he does a great job, but to the people that think Logan's been put to the front of the team and given most screen time, sometimes I get the feeling that Hugh's not given as much credit as he could get, purely because of this, whilst I think he does a good job, I don't think it should overshadow his performance in the film.

Discuss.

I agree. I don't think he was overused in any of the movies.

I don't think he's taken for granted at all to be honest. Yeah he's a good actor who does a good job of playing Wolverine. I don't have anything against Hugh Jackman, he's simply doing his job and doing it well. It's the producers I have something against. I can understand them needing to make somebody a kind of lead, and it worked in X1 and X2, it was just the fact the character still managed to get his face in everywhere in X3 when 99% of the storyline had nothing to do directly with him.

He was good...
Really good...
Well he was improtant in the animated series and Evo... so why not in the movie..
Hugh did a great job as wolverine... I liked him

Yeah I understand and agree with the points you guys are making. I just feel that it's not really Hugh's fault that he's put into most of not all of the scenes. I havent personally read an X-Men comic in sometime but isn't that how the comics are going as well?

To be fair, he wasn't as important in the Animated Series as he was in the movie. In the animated series he was basically just a team member. In the movie he's at the front of everything.

Yeah that's what I tried to get across in my post. Hugh is great. He acted his scenes well and did great with the character as a whole, I feel.

It's just the un-imaginative decision by the producers/writers to stick Wolverine at the front all the time that bothers me.

True but he has an interesting past

Yeah I'm not denying that at all. But again, so do all of the rest of the characters have interesting pasts.

I like how Hugh has played Wolverine, in other post I already commented how impressed I was in his first scene in X1, I know Logan should be just another team member, and he is not in the films, but the fact is Hugh has done a great Wolverine so far...IMO

Hugh did a great job. I don't know much about him but my opinion is that Wolverine has nothing in common with Hugh so it must have been hard for him to bring this character to life.

Exactly! I always said it ws Hugh's fault. But it isn't. I don't know why they played him like that knowing that he was the lead in the first two movies. He was just overused and that made me angry seeing as how Storms my favorite charcter and she practically screamed to get a bigger role. I mean, lets take her leadership part for instant (I mentioning her because they are the only two adults). How could she be leader and give no orders at Alcatrz? How could Logan be socaught up in Jean and not caring about leaving the school open but was giving all of the orders. And it makes me angry

1) because Storm gets repspect and gives orders in the comic...that didn't happen at all in the movie. And when she did give orders at the danger room, it was like she houldn't have even saaid anything if Logan was just gonna ignore her anyway.

and

2) because she asked for this role and it was amped up to its best, yet Logan still forshadowed her and she didn't get a piece of Jeans condition.

I know its not his fault..i'm not blaming him. I'm blaming the person who wrote the script and the producers.

They are good actors and great characters...if the movie wasn´t as good as people expected is their fault after all, not Hugh, halle or Famke´s

Sure ain't. But the movie was off da chain! I loved it. I've watched it over 10 times..the whole thing.

Of course not. It was purely a business decision, not a creative decision, to make Logan the focal point of all three films. Hugh was just reading his lines. Still sucks though.

i think he is. i mean everyone seems like they've been going insane because he has a huge part in the movie.

I think people do sometimes forget that Hugh does a fantastic job as Wolverine. He really was inspired casting. It is easy to lose track of that amongst the annoyance at the massive exposure of Wolverine at the expense of all else.

Hugh Jackman is one of my favourite actors. I'm tired of seeing everyone bashing Hugh just because he was the main character in all three X-Men movies. They're blaming the wrong person. He's the perfect Wolverine.

One of those people WERE me. I don't blame him. I' blame whoever wrote the scrpit..and the producers!
