If I've created this world I live in I lack alot of imagination. I mean who'd create a fantasy world of living in a low income apartment complex and just scraping by financially?

It is a mistake to think your life would be better if it were your imagination.

For, while the conscious mind is into giving you all of that good stuff, your subconscious - which would likely control the illusion, is much more sadistic and bizarre.

well i could judge by my understanding of peoples imagination and say it's unlikely since most imagination seems to be highly dependant on the physical. ie a man only dreams to fly after they've seen a bird do it. but really if it were all imagined, my understanding of imagination would just be imagined, and imagination would be signifcantly more powerful a thing.

Yeah, that's called solipsism, I was convinced I invented it when I though of it by myself when I was 12. It's philosophically unsound without inventing a really contrived justification so there's no point in worrying about it.
