does anyone think that in season 6 or in any Smallville future to come that they will introduce Kitty, Lexs' love/side-kick...whatever she is to him in the movies, on the show?

i mean they introduced so many characters from the movies, why not her...see how Lex meets her and how she comes to stay with him.

Um. No.

If they must intro a love interest/sidekick for Lex, may I suggest:

"Kitty?" You talking about who I think you're talking about?

Ah hell. Here, just in case...

:D

If they are going to introduce Kitty, then they might as well introduce Otis from the first movies as well.

i only say introduce her just to make something new for Lex...he's still with her after 3 movies, since the 3rd and 4th superman have been dropped.

why not have her on...maybe just as a guest for a few episodes. then he meets up with her down the line again.

i'm not a fan of her at all, just thought it would be something to do with Lex.

The thing about Lex is that he really doesn't need guest characters to make him more complex. Throughout the entire running of the show hes been the most complex character with only minimal interaction with other characters, those especially being Lionel and Clark. Otherwise hes more of a individual journeyman seen through his insanity.
However, everybody, including myself, enjoy a good guest appearance so eitherway I would be happy.

i hear you loud and clear, and i do agree with you.

i just thought since they are doing everything else...why not her...you have to admit, she's better then some of the guest they have on the show sometimes.

but my love for smallville will never die :)

Ahem...

And if you're wondering, that's Mercy Graves.

Smallville's Lex is based on post-crisis. Kitty would seem REALLY out of place with that kind of Lex since she's basically Ms. Tessmacher, and more fitted to the campy, over the top pre-crisis Lex's they used in Superman the Movie and SR.

I was thinking they should introduce Mercy also.

Kitty was a deffinatly pre-crisis campy type character, it wouldn't fit.:down

I don't want to see anything from Returns in Smallville, ecspecially the worthless Kitty. She would only bring this Lex Luthor down.

She'd be useless to this Lex Luthor. He definitely doesn't need a side-kick or a love story right now, and Lex is unfortunate with women, all the relationships he had ended badly, they all came back in his life to kill him lol, and his daddy Lionel is still around anyway.

Lex Luthor: "I plan on being great all by myself." Season 1 - Leech.

I love it when people cut to the chase. Thank you.

I really hope Serene doesn't read some of your Lana bashes. :o

Lex already has a flakey female sidekick, Lana Lang.

Id rather have Lana than Kitty.

I mean seriously, how can a character in this day and age be named Kitty and not have camp written all over it?

Hey thats fine though. I'm perfectly cool with Superman Returns being a modern version of the classic Golden Age/Precrisis stuff and Smallville being a somewhat post-crisis/Ultimates version.. It makes the 2 different enough since there are fans of both types of Superman storytelling split down the middle.

In all seriousness however, Smallville Lex's reasons for keeping Lana around are about the same as the other Lex's reasons for keeping Kitty around. Lex doesnt need a sidekick or partner for intellectual reasons, its clearly for other obvious reasons.

Ditto!

Well, that was probably by design. I still can't figure out why they changed the character's name though. If you're going to keep everything else basically the same, why toss ole Ms. T?

Meh. Neither here nor there. If G&M *ever* brings on a campy character like that as a sidekick for Lex, I swear I WILL hurt somebody, starting with them.

I actually believe Lex truly loves Lana, or atleast he is infatuated with the idea of what life with her could be like. On one side Lex is becoming more powerful by the day, and on the other he wants someone he loves and that loves him back, being Lana. I believe that Lana's eventual rejection of Lex, and yes it will happen, will be the moment that Lex truly goes over the edge.

I agree with you, I don't see why Singer didn't just keep Ms. T because the only difference between the characters was the name :down

And if G&M ever bring in campy characters ala Kitty, I will also hurt somebody, but that will probably start with my USC foldout chair being thrown across the basement.

I'd prefer if Lex threw Lana out. I wouldnt want her to be the thing that pushes him over the edge, that's lame. I think it would be perfect for him to acquire her, taking something that belongs to Clark, and then tossing her out like trash when shes served her purpose. That's the truly cold Lex Luthor behavior I'm hoping he soon exhibits.

Ya know, I think I like you. Very logical thought process. :)
