Comics Is magneto dead in any continuity right now?

Also when was the story where mags ripped the adamantium out of wolverine's body?

[pics would be nice]

Magneto is not dead right now and the story where he ripped the adamantium out of his body was Fatal Attractions from the early '90s. I want to say 1993.

Not in any big continuity.

That issue is X-men v2 #25.

Last I checked he was powerless couresty the House of M arc, but knowing how the X team work, he'll be back to his old activities soon enough.

Well, he's dead and devoured in Marvel Zombies continuity...

He just popped back up in Son of M #4.

Why yes, you are correct, Morgoth. Very good.

What it has to do with Magneto's deaths, I don't know...

Pssht. Any chance one can use reverse jackassism on Morgoth should be taken. :p

Mags is on the cover of New Avengers #20.

Man, I need to catch back up with New Avengers. Right now I'm four issues behind.

The last 2 (17 and 18)have been the best in a while. This is definitely the most epic and arguably the best of the arcs so far.

Heres some of magneto's powers even though im not a big fan, but their isn't a thread 4 him so: Magneto is now powerless, following the events of House of M. He is now one of the normal Homo sapiens. The description of his powers below is prior to the House of M timeline.

Arguably the most powerful man on the planet, Magneto is a mutant with the superhuman power of magnetokinesis. He can shape and manipulate magnetic fields that exist naturally or artificially. Magneto can thus lift, move, and manipulate objects (sometimes weighing many thousands of tons), and manipulate bloodflow to others' brains to cause aneurysms or unconsciousness. He can absorb and redirect electricity, control ferrous particles in the atmosphere, even the very air, alter the Earth's magnetic field which extends into space as the Magnetosphere, increase his own strength to the extent of being able to exchange blows with at least Colossus, fly in or beyond the Earth's atmosphere, and achieve an indefinite range of other effects.

With the primal forces of nature at his command, Magneto has stopped armies, moved mountains, and threatened to devastate the world with apocalyptic floods and earthquakes. Magneto once blanketed the entire globe with a self-generated electromagnetic pulse that caused widespread devastation. It is unclear, however, whether he must draw magnetic force from outside himself (if so, then he can do so over vast distances). It could also be that he can both naturally generate and draw on the earth's magnetic field to increase his power, effectively making him both a reservoir and a conduit.

Although Magneto's primary power is magnetism, he seems to have some ability to project or manipulate any form of energy that is related to magnetism, or the entire electro-magnetic spectrum. He can open wormholes through space, create almost impenetrable force fields, and become invisible by deflecting visible light around his body. He can fire bolts of electricity and of pure magnetic force and can create enough intense heat to destroy a metal door, as he is able to manipulate the entire electromagnetic spectrum. (He has also dispersed a "flame cage" created by the original Human Torch, but whether he had simply expanded his personal force field or employed something else entirely is unclear.) He can also reverse lasers, electricity, and other forms of radiation or energy when fired at him. In addition, he can create anti-gravity fields and does so whenever he levitates non-magnetic objects. However, Magneto tends to use magnetism.

Magneto also possesses some psychic abilities, such as the ability to create a psychic shield for protection against psionic attack. At times he has read minds, astral projected and, aided by a device of his creation, controlled minds. (Note: He has controlled minds without the device, but only through manipulating the iron in blood and redirecting its flows through the brain) Charles Xavier refered to Magneto's "latent telepathy" and used Magneto's help to break past the mental shields of Galactus. It should also be noted that initially their attempts were futile until Magneto became enraged that Galactus might ignore them so, and thus created a "surge" as Xavier put it, making Galactus take note of them.

Magneto's ability to wield his superhuman powers effectively is dependent upon his physical condition. When severely injured, his body is unable to withstand the strain of manipulating great amounts of magnetic forces. When his powers are not at their peak, he appears to have greater difficulty controlling forces other than magnetism.

Magneto's suit is made of flexible metal bonded on the molecular level, providing protection against projectiles, energy weapons, and concussive force. His helmet, contrary to popular belief, does not actually protect him from psionic attacks. This is a misconception started by the movie and was further compounded with the release of the Ultimate X-Men books.

Magneto is an expert on genetic manipulation and engineering with knowledge far beyond that of contemporary science. He is considered to be a genius within various scientific fields. He has the technology to mutate humans in order to give them superhuman powers or create adult clones of human beings and then manipulate the genetic structures of these clones during their development. He has created artificial living beings, designed magnetically-powered skycraft and spacecraft, complex robots and computers and magnetically-powered generators.

Magneto is a skilled strategist and has more than a rudimentary knowledge of hand-to-hand combat.

Thanks for that utterly pointless post, javon.

Copying and pasting useless wikipedia information is his grandest feat after all!

I was on passing on info to jks, who asked about it, and if jks was interested in picking them up he'd know where to get the whole storyline.
