Is Marvel Ultimate Alliance worth getting for the Wii?

In a recent trip to America (as of last week), I actually walked into a Best Buy, just mid day, and there was a stack of them, on the floor, with a sign.

I would have to assume that most negative comments about MUA on the Wii is justified because I haven't played MUA on any other platform.I do know that after playing MUA on the Wii I don't want to play it on a regular controller. It's the experience that matters and not the pretty packaging.I'm not going to lead any unsuspecting gamer on these boards to believe that the PS3 version is better simply because of the graphics.

Oh and another thing, before some of you cream your pants over the PS3 let's look at the facts
Nintendo Wii consoles sold-Over 2 million
PS3 consoles sold-40,000
40,000 consoles sold? For a very popular company such as Sony is VERY disappointing.I'm sorry but as of right now PS3 is not living up to it's hype.If anything it's only proving it's visual prowess.

i'd love to know where you got that information, because it's um... wrong.

i'm more of a marvel comics junkie than i am a gamer, and i really enjoyed M:UA on the wii. my boyfriend hated the controls (he pretty much avoided ever using gestures) but i liked them and used them almost exclusively.

it definitely doesn't look remotely as good as it does on the 360 or PS3 (on an HDTV anyway), but we're not getting a PS3 until they work out the bugs.

anyway, if you've ever played x-men legends, it's pretty much more of the same: button-mashing, or in this case, arm-waving. there are some new challenges/puzzles that i liked, but i think you need to have an interest in the comics to get through it. casual gamers would probably find it ridiculously repetitious after a few hours.

If it's wrong then prove me wrong.A friend of mine told me the info.I have to find out where he got it from.Don't worry I'll find out and then you can prove me wrong.

http://money.cnn.com/2006/12/08/technology/personaltech/ps3sales/index.htm

Sony (Charts) sold 195,000 PS3 units in its first 13 days on shelves.

so, in short, your friend is either very, very misinformed, or he's another sony hater, and just trying to badmouth them to his friends. take your pic.

He's not a Sony hater,in fact he told me that if he had the money he would get a PS3,so that theory can go out of the window.Secondly the amount you posted is still disappointing. The way most everyone was hyping the PS3 it looked like it would blow everything else out of the water but it hasn't.I'm not saying that it never will though.I may even consider buying one if they drop the price down a couple of hundred.Though that won't happen anytime soon though.

^ In all honesty it was a bit disappointing. But it is still fun. Not because this character or that character is not in it or whatever. I just think while it worked well with the X-Men games when you have so many superheroes, to watch them dungeon crawl and get stopped by a simple force field or something is....underwhelming. But it is still a fun game. But for beat-em ups nothing beats the first two LOTR movie games EA rleeased. This is okay and better than the lousy JL Heroes game a few months ago anyway.

Exactly my point.I expected for the graphics to be better too,but I still enjoy this game despite it not having any drastic changes from X-Men Legends 1 and 2 besides the motion sensor controls. It's more of the same beat-em up goodness but with more Marvel heroes and villians.
