Is Superman now the fastest person in the DCU

    Well untill Walley comes back Jay says he is only as fast as the speed of sound. So my question is Superman well before the crisis use to be faster then that if he still is does that make him the fastest person in the DCU.

    Probably. DC seems to be bringing Superman up closer to pre crisis levels.

    Kid Flash or Bart or maybe The new Flash at the moment has lost his speed.

    Although I would want the fastest person in the DCU to be a Flash, I am glad it is Supes if not one of the Flashes.

    How are they doing that seeing as he doesn't have any powers? (or is barely starting to get them back)


    Anyway, Superman's not the fastest because he hasn't had any powers.

    I'd say Supergirl is the fastest.

    Sueprgirl for earth based hereos would be the fastest right now. But if you count everybody I think Ion would take that title.

    hasn't Jesse Quick been powerless for a while now because she forgot the formula? I believe that happened in the Blitz arc when Flash fought Zoom.

    I would think Powergirl is a little bit slower than Supergirl.

    I agree about Ion.

    Jay Garrick can only go about the speed of sound because the speed force is gone.

    If you count Zoom's powers as super-speed rather than time manipulation, he'd be the fastest by far.

    If the Speed Force is gone, then that would make Captain Marvel the fastest character in the DCU. According to 'Who's Who in the DC Universe', the only people faster than Captain Marvel are those endowed with the Speed Force.
    Mary and Freddie are up there, too, but to a lesser extent because their powers are derived from Marvel's, especially Freddie's.

    Captain Marvel's speed, like everything else, is generally regarded as equal to Superman's. So they'd share the title of fastest person in the DCU.

    If not for Zoom, that is. He's still easily the fastest person because he'd leave both Captain Marvel and Superman in the dust. If you count his powers as speed.

    No even with The Flash gone Zoom is still faster than Superman

    Superman doesn't have the Speed Force. Only those with the Speed Force are faster than Captain Marvel. Therefore, Marvel is faster(even if only slightly faster) than Superman. That's straight from DC, man.

    Only here would we argue something that was never brought to the test,....


    Canon sez CM is fastest EXCEPT for speed-force flashes,... then he's the fastest now - Period.

    Can someone show me where exactly it was stated that Captain Marvel was faster than Superman? Marvel has the speed of Mercury/Hermes, same as Wonder Woman, and that Superman is faster than Mercury/Hermes.

    Currently Superman has just rediscovered his powers and has been downgraded a bit, but before his downgrade he was consistently nearing light speed travel.
