Just curious because there is no Nielson ratings but is there a way to tell that Netflix won big with this? If so, can we expect more Marvel series to come out faster...........I just can't imagine waiting 2 years for an Iron Fist movie or another 3 years for a Defenders movie.

It depends how fast they film their seasons. I could actually see Defenders at the end of Next Year to be honest.

I have non comic book fan friends making statuses and raving about it on Facebook. If that's not telling I don't know what is.

That's still to long! :argh: It's only 8 episodes, why not film it in 4 months?!!?

Eh, rhetorical question. I just wish Marvel would have filmed these things closer. Next year seems like forever.

I'm hoping we'll get a second season of Daredevil next year, along with Luke Cage, Iron Fist and The Defenders. I think it's reasonable to expect they'll want to go a bit faster with their shows if this is as much of a hit as it seems to be.

At the moment, its ratings on IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes are on par with The Dark Knight, so I definitely think it's a hit.

Don't tease me man! :argh: Please tell me you have proof.

I am sure Netflix has numbers on how many views its gotten. How many subscribers have seen it.

I got a free trial just to watch this show on my PS4.

With the fanfare Marvel has and the Reviews this show has been getting if Hemlock Grove can get 3 Seasons I don't see no reason why Daredevil won't get more.

My guess would be by how quickly Netflix green lights another season. The problem is, it's not just their call. Marvel has a say as well. They have a road map and they are following it. I'm sure they'd love to be able to squeeze another season of DD in somewhere but I don't know if they have the means or availability. They can only make so much so fast. Plus I'm sure they both don't want to rush things and have it account for a dip in quality.

I feel like they could definitely speed the process up. Shoot Luke Cage and Iron Fist at the same time or at least start IF whilst Cage is still shooting (could help for more crossover between the two characters as well, they could sort of intertwine for an episode or two). JJ in the Fall, Luke Cage April. Iron Fist Summer. Defenders in the Fall of 2016.

But if they think it might lessen the quality then no need to rush. I mean I feel like DD S2 will be fall of 2017 at latest. Which is 2 and a half years away, the same for a film sequel.

im guessing by the number of clicks the eps get on Netflix. which to me is more reliable data than what what Nielson comes up with :woot:

but knowing the internet, theres probably a lot more interested in this who arent watching it through Netflix. how is Marvel able to determine that? are they making their decisions solely on Netflix viewership alone? or do they unofficially "track" those streaming sites as well?

I think how much of a following this show will garner on Social Media is huge too. #'s for trending on Twitter and other places will show a good amount of data along with the internal numbers Netflix will get. As for Marvel this show prolly had barely had a 16th the budget of some of their movies so a second season should be a no brainer money wise.

I think we get Jessica Jones this year, Luke Cage and Iron Fist in 2016 and Defenders and Daredevil season 2 in 2017, similar to how Marvel got into a two films a year schedule. I mean considering the cinematic style of the show two years isn't really that long to wait, plus we will see him in Defenders before that anyway.

I mean Breaking Bad took over a year and a half to finish airing it's final season from when it started and people where fine with that.

Defenders won't be coming until 2017 at the earliest. Next year, we're getting Luke Cage and possibly Iron Fist. 2017 would give us Iron Fist if it doesn't get released next year. Defenders is going to come last.

I think we'll know by next week possibly. Bloodlines which I reccommend which has Linda Cardenilli (AoU) and Ben Mendelson (Star Wars spin-off) in it. Came out last month on netflix got a second season like a week later because of the good word of mouth.

Its definitely getting a second season. Its just a matter of when. And I really really really doubt they're going to wait until after Defenders. Each show has separate showrunners and separate crew. There is no reason for them to wait.
