Is there an issue with 360's freezing during loads?

Had my new 360 Pro for about a week and twice today when trying to get in and out of parts of the MLB 2K9 franchise menu screens where a load was required, the console just froze and sat there for 10 minutes until I finally just restarted the unit. Is this because I was playing off a disc? Or did I mash too many buttons too quickly or something? Or is it just a known bug with the consoles?

Playing off the disc doesn't matter, nor does button mashing. Some consoles have freezing problems, but most don't. I think your best bet would be to bring it back where you got it and get a new one. Some 360's just have built in problems.

Though, if it is only doing it with MLB, it could be the disc.

thanks. No issues today with it and I was in and out of those screens numerous times. Hard to tell if its a 2K9 issue because I only own one other game, the Lego Indiana Jones/King Fu Panda, that came with the bundle and I havent been bored enough to crack either open. I may give that a try tonight and see what happens.
