Is this show a prequel or a sequel to Marvel's The Avengers since Coulson is alive. If it is a sequel, is there a high percent chance, we will see the heroes of this show return in Avengers 2.

You will find out How and Why Coulson's alive little by little through out the season and maybe not completely in the 1st season.

I really don't think anyone in this show will make an appearance in Avengers 2 except for Agent Coulson (played by Clark Gregg) and Agent Maria Hill (played by Cobie Smulders). Both of these two people were in the first avengers movie and, according to the Avengers 2 IMDB page, are expected to be in the 2nd movie.

Its more like a spin-off show that is set after The Avengers.
