I realise that in the Marvel Universe, time doesn't flow as it does in real life(otherwise Franklin Richards for one, would be well into his 30s), but isn't it about time for the Hulk's old nemesis Thaddeus, "Thunderbolt" Ross to retire- if only on the grounds of advanced old age( God knows that he's eligible for it; he's been around since the 1960s!)
Doesn't the USAF have some kind of mandatory retirement age( such as the Catholic Church- where priests must retire at 75 and bishops/cardinals at 80) in common with the rest of the US military?

If he does, I doubt he'll ever give up on his issues with the Hulk and if it means going independent he probably will.

In WWH #3 he appears to
fall to his death, but at least he goes out shooting Hulk in the eye

No he doesn't OBI

we can see him handcuffed beaten to a pulp, but still on his knees

I know Ross has retired in the past already, and heck I think he was even dead for a while. You just can't keep an old war horse down.

Actually he died twice. I think he died shortly after he became ZZzax. The Leader than resurected him and put him in the Redeemer. I believe he was killed during a battle the Hulk had with the Leader and his goons.

Technically he isn't. In the comics, there is no real set time, other then that everything has happened about 25-30 years ago. It's not so much that time doesn't flow, but it continually shifts.
