This isn't really meant for the celeb board. It's a question: Do you believe that death comes in threes? For instance (Ed McMahon, Farrah Faucet, Michael Jackson all in the same week)?

A few friends mentioned this to me is it a fairly common situation?

I've lived in the south my whole life and the saying is "Bad luck comes in threes" but I know down here it is commonly used to apply to deaths.

I don't believe it either, there's not even any "rules" behind it, like a time frame or something. If this really was a real thing, where were the two deaths around David Carradine. I'm really sick of the saying because no one really knows what it means, if celebrity A and B die within a week of each other, then celebrity C dies three weeks later does it still count?

Then when it was Ed McMahon, everyone ignored either Bea or Dom, included Carradine, and still said "bad things happen in 3s." The people who hadn't heard about Farrah Fawcett's death yesterday were saying "David Carradine, Ed McMahon, and Michael Jackson died in 3!" NOW it's Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, and Michael Jackson.

That's 6 dead celebrities so far this year who have been attributed to the whole "bad things come in threes" rule. Just... just stop it.

Sadly I think Patrick Swayze will be joining them soon. I just think you can't group it in threes unless you go by tragedy.
