It is far from over

I think that Xavier's was way to smart to let certain things happen without a contingency plan. Looking back, no one truly knows what happened to Scott. Everyone is just assuming. Again with Jean. This is far from over. I think that good side of Jean has created a safe haven for all of those that the Phoenix destroyed. I also think that is why Xavier is the only one that came back to the mindless body so he can direct "earthy" means to bring back those from the psychic realm.

This is a comic book adaption by the way. Anything is possible.

Just look at Gandalf the Grey in LOTR.

Your right, everyone is alive and well. I fully expect the next movie to consist of scenes where the X-men will hop and skip with multiple leprachauns in their perfect world.

The speech he made to Storm says alot also. He knew what was going to happen. I just thought for some reason that Xavier entered Logan's mind at that last second, and thats why Logan has that look on his face when he walks away, possibly the Professor leaving his mind.?

None of the dead/cured characters should return in X4 for the sake of credibility. Otherwise any future death will count for nothing.

If the films managed to continue past X4, anything is possible and returns will become more acceptable.

Scott... teleported away by the Shiar who came to investigate the phoenix.

Xavier... new body. new Man! He can walk now and uses his powers to make people see his old body.

Jean...Gone for now but not forever she can be resurrected by the shiar at the end of X4.

Storm... leader and headmistress! She fights off a take over attempt by the hellfire club who now wants to control the school and the mutants.

White Queen... switches minds with storm and takes over the school for evil purposes.

Kitty, Angel, Colossus, Iceman... sent by Storm(really the white queen) to steal the plans for the governement sentinel program.

They can make it really work. They just shouldn't bring everyone back to life and wolverine should get a smaller role.

Nono its not loosing credibility it just showing how awesome they are lol Ok its just come on it's the XMen. The thought of anyone dying is like tooo dramatic. Kill some off at the end of the whole movie sagas, but not know with so much potential and futher storylines.

We never see scott die. Sure, theres a gravestone, but there was no body. He should come back to make it up to cyke fans who've been screwed over for the past three flicks

Jean should stay dead. We saw her die.

And we saw what happened with the professor....

And everyone who was cured should remain that way. Mags shouldnt be in a sequel. enough of him. Same goes for mystique, and sadly, rogue.

I agree with most of your reasoning above.

It's true that the gravestone is the only "evidence" of Cyke's death. I don't know whether James Marsden would want to come back or Fox would want him back so they may need to recast. Even then I would prefer that he wasn't brought back until a later sequel. The number of deceptive deaths/cures should be kept to a minimum.

Id make the next movie focuse on a new mutant.... One by the name of GAMBIT!
Wolverine should be in it but yea he shouldnt be the only one with a major role in the movie.
BRING ON GAMBIT DAMIT!!

Jean should stay dead Magneto should help the school I think after he learned his lesson he should be a good guy. Cyclops I'm not sure about just yet, bringing him back might piss off the general audiance cause thats two out of three who died coming back. Maybe Sinister could make Cable who would be a combo of a original cable and cyclops

Marsden would come back, trust me. He beleives they could make a bunch of xfilms, and everything indicates he'd like to be apart of it.

his newsarama interview implies that he only accepted cykes death because it may be possible he could come back

I would want the next film to centre around Cyclops, played by Marsden (no damn recast ) and Gambit, with Wolverine taking a backseat this time.

I feel Marsden played Cyclops superbly, and damn, he sure can act. His performance at the end of X2 is tremendous.
