Google TV:

It runs on the Android OS, powered by a specific Intel multimedia chip and is compatible with your cable/satellite providers. It will come pre-installed on the new Winter lineup of Sony HDTVs. Dish Network is offering a discounted price of $179 for the device, which will retail for $299.

Logitech Revue (with Google TV):

Logitech's custom made Google TV device which will sync with Logitech Harmony remotes and Android Harmony App. Should cost around same price of Google TV, but will have cheaper peripheral devices.

Apple TV

Still sucks. Rent movies, plays Netflix, buy Apple stuff.

Side note: People have been doing this for years, but they needed a Intel Wireless Display device, or a Multimedia center PC connected to the TV. These newer devices are obviously more convenient and easier to use.

I'm using my Logitech Revue right now and have to say that it is better than I expected. The internet and the TV has now been seamlessly fused. I can watch my Dish channels , browse the web at the same time. Basically while you're watching TV, you hit the search key on your keyboard and a small splash page comes up at the very top of your TV channel and you can then open two windows, one for your TV and one for your internet. You can also use the keyboard to become a universal remote that controls your DVR, STB, and AVR. At anytime you can open new Google Chrome tabs, you can zoom in and out of web pages; set hot keys, switch between different devices at a touch of a button, and even record TV programs using the keyboard.

They keyboard is extra light, very portable, and doesn't heat up like a laptop keyboard. The keyboard is very responsive as well and has built in Google Chrome functions like bookmarking, home pages, and an APPS page to download different apps. They keyboard runs on two standard AA batteries that also are included.

Photos and videos look much better as well because they are now running on my 55" LED HDTV and have the capability to run 5.1 Digital Surround. This product also comes with an "IR Blaster" or simply put, and infra-red magnifier that lets you sit even further from your TV than the Nintendo Wii, and HDMI cables to get the best picture and digital sound.

I give it 4 out of 5 stars.

I am old school, this dislike web streaming. ESP google tv. Google too big.
