BvS It's always Darkest before The Dawn... Chris Terrio IS the Script Writer

Just realized...I'm guessing Goyer just wrote the first draft and left it to Snyder and Terrio to polish up, or rewrite.

Is it weird that I feel like Snyder would be more reflective of the source material than Goyer, but would have even weirder ideas and dialog that would ALSO have to be repolished? :BA

I wonder if Affleck will take over as director now...probably not going to happen but a guy can hope...

:lmao: Levi I knew you will be here!!! :woot:

I have tears of joy. I now have 100% faith in this movie. It went from like a 65% to a 100%.

Also Joaquin Phoenix for Lex?

I am in my happy place.

Honestly, unless you're Frank Darabont (Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, The Mist, The Walking Dead), most movies should have two writers giving it a look-see.

Many are gonna be happy on here, someone clearly wasn't happy with how this came out.

I agree with this. Alot of movies even have two writers but only one might be credited.

Hahaha, well maybe. He is a risk taker. And hearing his interviews, it's clear Snyder has done his research on the mythology. I like how unashamed he is about the material he's working with. The fact that he incorporated tentacled monster in MOS shows this.

It won the oscar for best adapted.

Great, pumps me up even more.

Isn't it funny how this one gif is more famous than the movie (Assassins) itself?

Man, this is the best news so far about the movie. Personally I thought Superman/Batman would be the third best between Star Wars 7 & Avengers 2 due to the talent they got working on those films, but with this news it's a ****ing coinflip.

How many times have I said get someone else other than Goyer.

I'm just so ****ing happy at this.

Agreed. I think Affleck took a look at the script and probably didn't like what he saw

Indeed. He was probably taking a look at it and thought, "D*** Splash? Is this for real?" Then Terrio got a call.:oldrazz:

Only a matter of time before Affleck takes over as director. :oldrazz:

I kid of course. But this is more or less what people have been predicting. Goyer's main weakness is his dialogue IMO, so I can imagine Affleck reading through the script like, "Yeah I'm not saying that....or that.....definitely not that", etc.

This is definitely a positive development, because there was no way I believed Snyder and Goyer were the best choice to write this movie. Maybe to outline it and do the first draft, but yeah. I feel like together they have the potential to bring out the worst in each other. They need someone else to balance things out.

I actually do think there's a chance he could take over as director.

Very very doubtful. Affleck has said it himself that he doesn't have enough experience working with special effects to helm a project like this.

That's "Apparently" why he turned down directing MoS.

Eh, that won't happen this late in the game.

He'll probably get the next solo Batman film and MAYBE Justice League.

Heh, it wouldn't entirely surprise me. I bet he could have the job at the drop of a hat if that's what he wanted, since he's WB's golden boy and all. But I don't think he wants it, and he seems to have respect for Snyder's vision. I bet he'll use this opportunity to learn more about big scale filmmaking before he jumps into it himself.

Also, to be fair to Goyer, the guy also does spread himself thin over so many different film projects including being the showrunner on DaVinci's Demons. Maybe it's simply a matter of the film needing a re-write and him not having the time. Either way, I think it's all for the best to get a set of fresh eyes on it.

Awful lot of confidence for a guy with two credits under his belt.

I doubt Affleck will write, direct, and star in a solo Batman movie, lol. That's way too much for one man to handle. It's a huge WB project. There's no way.

He's also writing Sandman now.

BTW I love your avatar.

So, he's not coming on too late?

Maybe not write by himself, but I do think it's possible that he'll be the first to direct/star in a Batman movie. I mean, one would think that it crossed his mind at least once as a possible incentive to take the role. It's the ultimate foot in the door.

But yeah, logistically it'd be pretty hard to direct from behind the cowl when you can't hear anything. :funny:

I doubt he was literally signed today and is just now getting to work on it.

A lot of these deals happen weeks before any sort of announcement is made. I'd wager he's been working on it for some time.

With the Terrio and Joaquin Phoenix news my enthusiasm for this movie has skyrocketed.
