BvS It's always Darkest before The Dawn... Chris Terrio IS the Script Writer

Lol replace Snyder my arse, this film needs a visualist like him for sure. Look at Nolans Batman films great films but Nolan never quite nailed the action/fight scenes.

Agree 100%

in terms of visuals I thought Begins was the strongest. Gotham actually looked like a fictional city and not just Chicago/New York.

Batman looked like an elemental beast.

Scarecrow's gas effects looked like hell incarnate.

And Ra's Al Ghul's temple looked amazing.

Don't want to cause a scene here but...

Christopher Nolan is in charge of this movie. WB Execs. are in charge and take 100% of Chris Nolan's advice.

Zack Snyder is directing. Beautiful visual shots.
David Goyer & Zack Snyder are story writers. BOTH love the comics and will stay true to them whilst delivering a comic based accurate story.
Chris Terrio is writing the screenplay. He's very good.
Larry Fong is doing cinematography. Every shot will have comic beautifullness.

Henry Cavill IS Superman. Nuff Said.
Ben Affleck IS Bruce Wayne. One of hollywoods top actors. Will absolutely own.

Joaquin Pheonix and other major names linked to roles??

Believe the hype!!!!

With terrio coming in I think affleck is the power guy

i think that's pretty obvious. i remember reading somewhere that nolan actually wanted affleck before he chose snyder for MoS. he's probably the one guy aside from nolan that wb/dc most wanted to captain this ship.

My thoughts in a nutshell:

I think he's implying that Snyder is going to get replaced, or at the very least, have a co-director (Affleck) with him or something.

OH Heeellll NO! lol I wouldn't see it if Zack was replaced. I'd bootleg it! And sell it even! (under someone else's name of course) :woot:

I remember Affleck in talks for the JLA project(no one wants to see), don't remember being considered for superman. There as a very publicized short list for superman. From Tony Scott to Aranofsky to Duncan jones etc.

could be mistaken.

I agree. Begins felt so surreal in comparison to the sequels. I think the smaller stage sets gave the whole film a claustrophobic feel in comparison to the city streets of the sequel.

I believe everything quoted except the first (I don't think MOS2 is being micromanaged by Nolan. If anything, AFFLECK is pulling more strings.), and am more than hyped for the film.

i wish i had bookmarked it. i know when i read it it stood out to me. Apparently he was his first choice after the town, I'll see if i can find it.

My understanding is that Nolan offered MOS first to Affleck who passed because he didn't think he was ready. Then Nolan turned to Aronofsky, who wanted it but WB did not believe he could deliver the project on time (and they needed to because of the rights). Then Nolan gave it to Snyder.

This is pretty much the ideal scenario I've been begging for for the past few months.

Needless to say I am pretty ****ing stoked.

Same page friend: the guy just won an Oscar for Argo. This might just confirm what I thought before. Affleck might be helping more than just being Batman, and perhaps might be getting some kind of direction from him too.

Terrio helping right and Phoenix's name showing up as a possible villian: my anticipation for this film just shot up 140%. :hrt:

...Nolan offered Affleck the chance to direct Man of Steel. Affleck declined, seemingly because of a desire not to return to the world of capes -- despite being an avowed comic book fan.

7th paragraph.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind if Affleck ghost-directed a chunk of MOS2. :woot:

As long as we have those Snyder camera angles and Fong's cinematographer where it matters :word:

That's what Tarantino did with Sin City, so this would be great to see. Maybe eventually this could land in his own hands. :woot:

Fong's work is great; Watchmen was a crap movie, but GOD did it look beautiful. I'm anxious to see what this movie is going to offer.

If everything is True what we've heard today...

It's going to be really hard to keep my hype down.

I have to keep an even kill. For my own sake. lol

This is turning into an unbeatable combination of collaborators:

Zack Snyder: Director, Writer
Ben Affleck: Director, Oscar-Winning Writer
David Goyer: Director, Writer
Christopher Nolan: Director, Oscar-Nominated Writer, Executive Producer
Chris Terrio: Oscar-Winning Writer

It can't be beat. Even if Nolan is essentially doing nothing for this film, the fact that he's still the executive producer and has his name slapped on the poster still means a lot.

Maybe - just maybe - the best collaborative effort in comic book movie history.

Batfleck ****ing saved this movie. This film is already better than Man of Steel.

Thank you BatfleckGod.

Snyder's visuals0, with Goyer influencing the concepts and story framework but with dialog and appropriate revisions by Terrio whose collaborating with the Dark Knight himself and produced by the man who brought the most critically acclaimed superhero trilogy. I don't think it can get any better..on paper, that is ;)

And then Cavill rocking Superman again, with oscar nominee Lois and Ma Kent, and possibly Pheonix as Lex. Goddamn.

It's a shame that if this movie turns out to be greatness, Goyer will get next to no credit AGAIN with Terrio and Affleck getting all the props.

he's the gm, snyder the head coach, batfleck lead assistant/player. he'll get his credit.

I see. That obviously before this this..cause those were the first articles I saw on him and dcu stuff.
Something about that recent article seems like monday morning quarterbacking though. Still, they tend to right about their info.

perhaps that's what it is, but given he went after aronovsky who seems to be nolanesque, when affleck has been given a bit of that tag for the town as well, i think there may be some truth to him getting considered for MoS.
