It's Either In You Or It's Not a.k.a. The Defenders

I think if it was Rulk there would be a red tint or something added...like the She Rulk...has the red streaks in the hair

Well, it just HAS to be the Defenders now... anything else would be just stupid... :o

But he ALSO has words like "Serpent", "Dark", "Hammer", "Asgard"...

Well he is currently possessed by a hammer wielding Asgardian entity that works for the Serpent. Bleeding Cool put up an interesting theory that this will be a Defenders book where Iron Fist, Silver Surfer, Dr. Strange, and She-Rulk team up to go against the Hulk.

Hmm...that could explain why Hulk is treated differently in this teaser (no code), and why Hulk would lose his title this fall...

Also he has the word "offender" on the lower part of his left leg.

Bleh. Have the past several wannabe-Defenders line-ups not shown Marvel that people don't want a Defenders-esque team with various other characters substituted for the big guns?

A Defenders book sans the Hulk, The Surfer & Dr. Strange is not a Defenders book...

Well, this one has Strange and Surfer so that's a start at least.

My thing though is that if this is a Defenders thing... what's it matter? It won't stick or last because the team doesn't work that way. And honestly, I don't think enough of the reading community are asking for a Defenders book. God knows if Iron Fist wasn't in these previews I'd have already unsubscribed from this thread.

It lasted for like 100-something issues at one point...

Avengers International

Heh, that was a pun of Justice League International but I actually think Avengers International could be pretty cool.

it could just be the new promo for the Moon Knight series and its showcasing that he's getting new identities

He's also pretty dysfunctional when it comes to relationships, now that I think about it. He alternates between stalking a married woman and his cousin when he's not busy murdering his wife.

He's getting better though. Now he's just trying to seduce Emma, who's simply taken, not married.

Wouldn't that tick people off :D

you know I was joking at first but now it makes sense....look at the title of the promos....'It's either in you or its not"...doesnt sound like a Defenders hint to me

You know a Defenders plot that would interest me? I just thought about this...

The core Defenders (Hulk, Strange, Surfer, and Namor) get pulled into another dimension for some reason and along with them are more relatable Defenders Beast, Ice-Man, and maybe Gargoyle. Also, the kids Loa and Skaar.

This dimension puts them in situations where the core Defenders must face their dark sides and cause a lot of problems due to it (Hulk's hate and rage, Surfer's alliance with Galactus, Namor's craziness and pride, Strange's connection to dark magic/Zom). It becomes a bit of a war between the four.

Beast, Iceman, Gargoyle, Skaar, and Loa will have to rise up and confront this and bring each of the core members to their breaking points and help them deal with their demons. Make it dangerous, maybe Gargoyle giving his life, and in the process young Skaar and Loa can find a romance and learn to come out of the shadows of Hulk and Namor.

I don't know... something like that. Do a bit of a Planet Hulk approach to them all for a year and build them up and then return them to the core 616. It was an idea that popped into my head and with Beast, Ice-Man, and Skaar... I'd be game to read it. Just a thought.

That sounds interesting. Although I'd throw Valkyrie in to even out the X-Men-heavy cast, but that's just me.

I'd pay to see Avengers International.

Isn't that basically what Geoff Johns did with the Avengers' UN charter and then Dan Slott did with Mighty Avengers?
