James Masters

Dean Cain

Helen Slater

Justin Hartley & maybe some other old Justice League members in their own episodes & as it has been said maybe some new ones

An old freak of the week from the earlier seasons makes a return

Am I missing anyone ?

It's the season of integrating cool DC characters into the universe...

Brainiac

Dr. Curtis Knox

Lara

Green Arrow

Mxy.?

This should be a sign that Smallville is losing steam. :csad:

It's like they're trying to say, "Hey! Don't forget about us! Look at all these guest stars!"

:csad:

Masters and Hartley are ALREADY part of the SV universe. They're not guest stars per se.

It's about time Dean Caine came onto the show, fans have been waiting for this for years after Reeve appeared on the show.

And personally I want a great and notable actress as Lara.

Dean Cain's character is called Curtis Knox, and is apparently immortal. I'm still clinging to my assumptions that he is, in fact Vandal Savage.

Apparently 'Bee Girl' from drone will be returning in episode 4. as well as a 'past villain who's not brainiac' in episode 9. we'll see.

Yes, because SV is the only show getting guest stars.. lol.

Crap, I didn't know Brainiac was already in here.
You'd think he'd have his own thread.

actually a lot of these characters/actors (IE Cain and Slater) are people they've wanted to get on the show for a long time. I'm assuming it's less that the show is running out of steam, and more that the show doesn't have long left. They've got to get everything they wanted for the show done, asap.

As long as they can find good grounds for bringing the characters in, (unlike the god awful cameo by Lynda Carter from last season,) then it's fine.

It's TWO guest stars- the rest are ALREADY SMALLVILLE CHARACTERS. Would you seriously just want to replace Hartley and Masters with somebody else as the characters just to reduce the number of guest stars? that wouldn't make sense at all. The majority of this is not about guest stars- it's about returning CHARACTERS.

why is everybody annoyed at the guest stars? Smallville isn't the only show to have guest stars. The concept is not exactly new you know. Having guest stars is not a sign that the show is losing steam. It's a sign that the show is becoming so popular that great actors want a piece of the action!

You figured it out! :cmad: We not living in Bizarro world.

* NOTE: Above is spoken in negatives.

Cause Heroes would never do that right?
Not to this blatant extent.

Ok, so we added Kristen Bell and Kevin Smith is directing one of these Origins things. It's still nowhere near Smallville's level. Why? Because Heroes doesn't need it. :o

Uh? What about all the new added characters? lol.

A. That's not stunt-casting.
B. Focusing on new characters is vital to the show's concept. There are hundreds of heroes across the globe. We're not just going to focus on a select few all the time.

Most of them are well known..

Kristen Bell Joins NBC's Heroes
Parrish Lands Heroes Role
Dana Davis Joins NBC's Heroes
Dominic Keating Joins Heroes
Shalim Ortiz Joins Heroes
Nick D'Agosto Joining Heroes
Six More Join NBC's Heroes!

Is that enough?

Lara, Brainiac, GA - these characters are also vital to the show and most importantly to Clark.

I won't dispute Brainiac or GA (since they've already been introduced), but Lara could have been easily played by any number of actresses. They went with Helen for the attention.

Dean Cain's character isn't vital. Once again, he's just a name to attach to a character.
