Davis (Jake Gyllenhaal), a successful investment banker, struggles after losing his wife in a tragic car crash. Despite pressure from his father in law Phil (Chris Cooper) to pull it together, Davis continues to unravel. What starts as a complaint letter to a vending machine company turns into a series of letters revealing startling personal admissions. Davis’ letters catch the attention of customer service rep Karen (Naomi Watts) and, amidst emotional and financial burdens of her own, the two form an unlikely connection. With the help of Karen and her son Chris (Judah Lewis), Davis starts to rebuild, beginning with the demolition of the life he once knew.

Watched it earlier and it's an excellent cast and director but that trailer didn't do anything for me. It was also supposed to come out this year for maybe an Oscar push but FOX moved it to April 2016.

It definitely seems a little "meh" but Jake has been on such a roll as of late that maybe it's time for him to take on a more "safe" roll, dare I say?

JM Vallée? That's another Québecois director Gyllenhaal is working with.

Glad to see both Vallée and Villeneuve having success in Hollywoodland. They both deserve it.

He edged his way out of Bubble Boy a decade ago to become one of the most prolific chameleon-esque actors of current day. Not bad.

Damn. When I saw the title, I was hoping this was a remake of Demolition Man. :D

I seem to have seen that trailer already, anyway the film looks good, glad to see Emmy Rossum in something I want to watch.

Essentially its' the same as the first trailer with a couple of added scenes. :funny:
